We really liked this hotel. It is located in a nice district of Munich, which is well supplied with shops, cafes, international restaurants (Asian, Mexican, Indian) bakeries, and ice cream places. It is also close to a subway station and to the major museums. The hotel is not exactly fancy, but it is classy and well managed. Our room was...

The hotel is directly located in Maxvorstadt area of Munich city and very close to Theresienstrasse station of underground U2 line (the second stop from Munich main train station). The bus stop for Bus line 100 (city line tour) is also very close. The hotel is very cosy, tidy, and very clean. The breakfast is included and appropriate and well-prepared....

Too noisy to have window open as bar outside hotel but too hot to not have window open as no air conditioning. Receptionist was in a very bad mood because we went to check out at 7am and she was busy. Very unfriendly!!! I'm sure there is somewhere better

Thank Janet D
Management response:

Dear Janet, thank you for your feedback and that you have taken the time to tell us about your impressions. We regret not having met your expectations regarding our service. We have no air conditioning but we could provide a fan if you had told us about the hot room. I will talk to my employee. Please be assured that...

We found everything we needed close by: 15 minute walk to/from the train station, 3+ grocery stores within a block, huge choice of Biergartens, local, ethnic, and fine dining within 1-3 blocks, and museums galore. True, there was no air conditioning and it was a hot week, but evenings cooled down with a nice breeze through open windows. Breakfasts were...

The hotel has free wifi and breakfast. The breakfast was good and had a lot of variety. There is no air conditioning, so beware when booking in summer months. We were on a top floor with a balcony, and having the door open helped with the temperature a bit. There is a lift to take your luggage up. There is...

Nice and clean city hotel. Very friendly staff and good breakfast buffet. Quiet location outside of down town (Marienplatz) Good small restaurants near by (at the same street) as well for just a drink or coffee.

Our stay here was just perfect for what we needed... quiet building, good breakfast, comfortable, clean rooms. Only a couple blocks from UBahn and I did have to ask if I was headed in the right direction, but the area is safe and I was fine roaming around.

I stayed at hotel Konigswache for just one night. I was visiting the Munich University of Technology and this hotel is conveniently close. For 3 stars I was expecting some quite basic, but really everything I needed was there. Free internet, good beds, silence, good breakfast, affordable minibar items, friendly staff. This is certainly a hotel to return to.

Clean hotel with friendly staff. The hotel is in a fun location with student grocery stores and many brilliant museums. The rooms are average but the wifi is fast and the hotel is quiet. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Thank Robyn G

“Since the hotel is located in the city, there are city noises. However, they do have rooms facing the courtyard, and these rooms are very quiet. Please note that the maid leaves the window open if it's not cold out (I was there during the summer). Close the window if noise is bothering you. Munich rarely gets very hot, thus they don't have an A/C. However, they have fans that they can put in your room if you ask.”
