This is a fantastic hotel and very close to the main train station. Quiet and clean with great breakfasts and helpful staff no matter the time of day (or night!). Highly recommend a stay here!

Stayed at this hotel on a weekend trip to Munich and was very happy with it. The room was extremely clean and well-maintained, if a bit small and minimalistic. But given that we were simply there to sleep and didn't spend any time in the room, this was fine. It's in a pretty good location, just a very short walk...

The reviews were almost uniformly excellent so my mother and I booked two nights, then liked it so much we extended a further three! It's very, very clean and the rooms are freshened up daily. The beds are very comfortable. Fresh linen daily. A really convenient position, so close to the railway station. Staff were friendly and helpful. And yes,...

We spent four days at the Royal Hotel in Munich. The hotel has a great location to the train station and some sites but is next door to a few gentlemans clubs. The price is right, the breakfast is good, and the rooms were average. Hard beds, dated floor and curtains. But overall, we were only in the room eight...

We were a family group of 6. We had a 4-bed room for me, my husband and twin daughters, age 7 (99 euros/nite = $142/nite). My parents had a 2-bed room (75 euros/nite = $107/nite). The hotel is in an excellent location within a couple blocks of the main train station in Munich. The delicious and very generous breakfast was...

We were going to Germany for Oktoberfest, so price and location were our main criteria. We got both in spades. LOCATION: It's one block to the main train station, which was convenient. One stop (or a short walk) from the Oktoberfest grounds, and only a few blocks from Marienplatz. A few people mentioned the strip clubs along the street --...

Everything about this hotel suited us .The location was perfect and so central to what we planned to do in Munich. The room was kept spotless daily. The shower was a little small but o.k.The breakfast could get you excited each morning with its fresh juices, freshfruit ,cereals, cheeses ,cold cuts, fresh breadrolls and pastries as well as the hot breakfast.We...

I stayed for one night in this hotel. It is clean with fair sized rooms. The toilet was sparkling clean and looked newly renovated although the shower was a little small. The breakfast was great and all this for 79 euros. It is also close to the sights and main train station. There is also free wireless internet in the...

Chose the Royal Hotel based in part upon favourable reviews here (thanks everyone!) and also because it is non-smoking. Definitely lived up to my expectations, and I agree it is very good value for money for a city centre hotel (discount if pay in cash). We stayed there twice, first time for 3 days upon our arrival in Munich, and...
