I spent a few nights at the Pension am Jakobsplatz with my wife on our honeymoon on the first weekend of Oktoberfest. This weekend had inflated prices all over Munich (as expected), but the location and price here seemed very reasonable. We are very happy we booked with Cristoph! We had a very late change of plans with our arrival,...

Take very seriously the part of your reservation that asks you to kindly notify them of your arrival. When you arrive it will feel and look like an office building when you walk in, which was a little off putting at first. The "front desk" is not staffed 24/7, so they are only here when you tell them you will...

Not bad for a city room. Clean, but cramped with an awkward layout. We were given the wrong room the first night and then asked to move for the second night, which meant packing up our stuff again. We had been on the move for several nights and we're looking forward to not packing. The people who were in the...

Pension am Jakobsplatz is perfectly located in the market center of Munich. Our host provided a very helpful orientation to the city with detailed information on where to eat, transportation, important sites, bike rental, and more. The room was very comfortable with all facilities clean and updated. All of this and more at a reasonable cost.

The pension is perfect for a city trip to Munich. Central location is fantastic and the pension itself is made of 4 rooms, each smartly outfitted to make full use of the space available. Our party of 6 enjoyed our stay very much with the best part being Christoph and his staff. This would certainly be my first option to...

A great find, the hotel is ideally located to the centre of Munich and a great base to explore from. Trips to the Alps and surrounding regions are all easily accessible from here. Christoph, your host is fantastic, he greeted us on arrival with a wonderful cup of coffee and sat down with us and gave us many tips and...

We stayed at the Pension am Jakobsplatz for several nights on our arrival into Germany. When we booked, the owner Christoph emailed us extremely helpful directions on how to get there. Since we were coming from the airport and were new to the trains in Germany, this information was really appreciated. Once we arrived, he sat us down to give...

We enjoyed our stay from the moment Christoph met us at the Pension to the day Pia checked us out . Christoph, Tanya and Pia made us feel welcome and made sure we had what we needed for a visit to Munich. The beds (we had twins) weren't the most comfortable as they were European twins - VERY narrow and...

Cristoph, the owner, was very helpful, friendly and hospitable Room was very cool and comfortable. The pension is seconds from the centre but very quiet even on a Saturday night there was little street noise. Breakfast was of excellent quality. I would recommend this to anyone staying in Munich.

“We were in room #1. It was small but you had all you need. It also has a private toilet which is always my preference! ”
