I have been at the hotel at least twice this year. Both times I found the staff, friendly, engaging and always helpful with directions and restaurant choices. They have smaller rooms and large ones. The breakfasts are great with fresh cooked eggs and a wide buffet selection including bread/croissants etc. All included in the room price. All in all a... More

This was such a nice place in Munich, in a trendy local neighborhood. Fantastic restaurants nearby and just close enough to pretty much everything. Awesome breakfast, great room overlooking the small park across the street, nice people who work there. So much better than staying in Marienplatz with all the other tourists.

The hotel is located in the northern part of Munich, about 2km from the Main Station and adjacent to the English Garden. The hotel occupies a four story building with a small restaurant and bar at ground level. There is also a Mexican-themed Irish pub downstairs but separate. The hotel is accessible by public transport U-Bahn with stations only a... More

Although the rooms are small, this boutique hotel is in a great location. Breakfast is not extensive but more than adequate. Would have appreciated a ceiling fan with the unusually warm weather for September and shampoo instead of only body wash in the shower even after a request to the maid. However, greatly appreciated early check-in after international flight

This little boutique hotel had owners who understand needs of international travellers; Last minute booking and late check out was accommodated for including great recommendation where to eat for our one night stay. Conveniently located with ample parking around in the happening Schwabing area, this quiet gem of a hotel surpassed our expectations. Breakfast spread and quality was very satisfying.... More

We spent a night there in an in-out trip to Munich. The Nikolai is smack in the middle of the action, yet far enough from the Marienplatz's madness. Great restaurants abound within walking distance. We will definitely consider this a first choice for our next trip. Make sure to ask for a courtyard facing room. The street cleaning at 5:30am... More

Far from the maddening crowds in the old town center, close to English Garten and some great neighborhood restaurants. Quality food and breads for buffet breakfast. Rooms are small but comfortable, windows open for night cool as there is no AC. Nearby activities at night can disturb sleep but do subside by midnight, after a full day of touring most... More

Small hotel on a quiet street off bustling Leopoldatrasse, near the English garden. Welcoming, English-speaking staff. Our double room in the back was spacious, with balcony, large shower, plenty of storage, comfortable clean bed. Local friends told us the breakfast (included in our rate) was known as "the best in the city," and indeed, it was very good and varied.... More

Thought the staff were excellent. Location was convenient for my metings and it was so quiet at night time. Breakfast was delicious. Rooms are a bit small and upon walking into the bathroom it really smelt of damp or something. This would probably be the only negative but it definitely wouldn't stop me from staying again.

During my recent trip to Munich, I decided to stay at this lovely boutique hotel near my friends house. The location is extremely convenient if you like to go shopping or even walk around a few nice restaurants in the neighborhood. I arrived on April 5th in the early morning and was immediately welcomed by a few members of the... More
