Alpina had a room available at the last minute - we came into town on Saturday around 4pm without a place to stay for the night. We checked at another hotel, but Alpina was less expensive and walking distance to the Hausberg ski lodge and downtown restaurants. The best surprise for us about Alpina was the "baths". Not only was...

We arrived on a Friday to this beautiful town with snow on the mountains and clear blue skies. We drove around town checking out the hotels and found the Hotel Treff suited our needs. Away from the busy streets and close enough that we could walk to town. The hotel has limited parking out front, but does have an underground...

The Hotel Alpina has beautiful views of the mountains and is close to the center of town. The rooms are large and pleasantly furnished. The bathrooms are rather small, though, but modern. My husband and I stayed in a triple, which had a large double bed, kitchenette, dining table and sofa. Our TV did not work, however. We did not...

English speaking friendly staff. Indoor pool of reasonable size, sauna ok. Fittness room needs new equipment. Inhouse spa, sun room and massage at extra cost. Pets are allowed....

The Alpina is a top-notch hotel. It is easy to get to and a short walk to the main attractions. There are some parking spots in front and also in the garage. The breakfast is excellent - probably the best I've had in Europe. We also had dinner there are were very impressed. The views of the Zugspitz from the...

Set in a quiet residential area at the intersection of two main streets, a 200 meter (1/8 mile) walk to the centre of Garmisch, and 800 meter (1/2 mile) walk to the train station, this wonderful mid-range hotel offers incredible value for the price with English speaking staff and a front desk manned 24 hours. During my July 2007 stay,...

We arrived with 3 monthold twins and a dog and found this property to be a superb fit. The rooms are all huge for Euro standards, ,were remodeled in th elast few years, especially nice bathroom and all had garden view / mountian view. THe staff was great and brought us extra cushy bed fittings that allowed our babies to...
