This a very nice vintage style hotel in the best street of Pa area. The hotel staff is so friendly and courteous. Nice bar, nice restaurant too. We stayed for a night only but would have loved to stay longer. Rooms are big with super views, nice balcony and big bathrooms. Beds are comfortable. Before I booked I had read some reviews on old furniture/ furnishings.. but trust me, it’s very clean and well maintained. The hotel room has old style furniture but it is well maintained and very very clean. We booked a breakfast in advance and then did not have it as we were not hungry. The staff was ready to adjust it against any other F&B bill, which we think was amazing service. Finally because they were fully sold out for dinner, they refunded the amount in cash. Truly impressed with this.. Go for Atlas Grand Hotel.. you will love it.

Amazing week long stay at the Atlas-Grand Hotel. I was here for a conference and they absolutely treated us like treasured guests. The manager and all the staff were friendly and engaging. They met every request with understanding and enthusiasm. The rooms were older but well appointed. Our room was very comfortable (even without air conditioning) with a terrace and beautiful view of the mountains. Breakfast and tea was wonderful in the hotel restaurant. The location is also amazing with walkable hiking and great food. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend.

The Atlas Hotel is in the old part of Garmisch. Beautiful street. Be aware not all rooms are supplied with a kettle and tea / coffee making facilities. Some balcony rooms have a view of the mountains. Staff very friendly and helpful. The pool is a natural spring. Lots of people used it outside terrace a lovely place to relax. Breakfasts are rather expensive.

We had originally booked the Atlas Sport Hotel, but they moved us to the Atlas Grand Hotel after presumably overbooking. The Atlas Grand Hotel has a luxury lodge atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and helpful. If staying in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on leisure in the future, we would love to stay here again.

We only stayed for a few nights but had a brilliant time. The staff were lovely, as was the food, and it's only a short walk to the train station. The area itself is gorgeous and as one of the staff was telling us about planned renovations to the hotel, I imagine it'll only get better.

Loved the mountain view from the room balcony. The rooms were clean and fairly spacious. It’s an old hotel with ageing infrastructure so there’s loud crunching sounds from the toilet radiator but all this was fine except for the poor service. Front desk was somewhat disinterested and unhelpful. The breakfast buffet never seemed ready and they were severely understaffed with one waitress running up and down while ignoring the guests. On our last morning there, they converted the buffet breakfast into an ala carte one and we waited one hour for our food to be served! Wouldn’t recommend this hotel despite the good location and lovely balcony view.

We came for 2 nights over July 4. Balcony is awesome .... killer view to the mountains. Bed comfy and clean. Nice shower. Really nice staff. Highly recommend. Frühstück: i seriously awesome breakfast. But because of COVID, you fill your preferences out the night before then when time comes you go to dining area and they bring it to you. Problem is, we put 0900 hr down as the time and didn’t get our food I til 0950! Many people complained. But it was so very good! You can drive up from the back of the hotel ( take the alley just before the hotel) and unload your vehicle then park in garage 5 euro a day. We would stay here again!

We only stayed one night at the hotel, however we loved every moment, the staff were all so friendly, the food at the restaurant was absolutely amazing and we were even treated to one off the staff playing the guitar for us! The hotel is full of old style charm.

Lovely painted facade to this hotel located in the main drag hence easily located. Surrounded by simialr charming hotels, shops and eateries. Older style room on the small side but comfortable. Only issue was close proximity to the church across the road which tolled it's bell frequently!

A beautiful retreat up in the Alps and the perfect gateway to all the activities the area has to offer. We stayed for two nights so we could take walks in the area and swim on Eibsee. Our room, overlooking the garden seating area and swimming pond also had a perfect view of the mountains. The large room we had was in block C and had everything we needed including enough space to be comfortable if the weather hasn't been so good. A highlight of the hotel is the spacious sauna area where you can rest with mountain views but with privacy protected behind mirrored glass. The lobby of the hotel has 2 large seating areas which I think are open as a bar in the high season. They looked fairly comfortable. Parking-wise on the first day we managed to get a space on hotel grounds by the garden. The next day however this space was quite busy but there is fairly cheap underground parking a few metres from the hotel for €5 per day. (Also other guests seemed to not know how to park, as we left we saw most of the cars had been blocked in. I gather that at weekends the hotel keeps a log of car registration numbers though. Negative points - most of rooms look out onto the garden / swimming area. The rooms don't have air con but it was cool enough with the windows open. Some of the other guests though can be really loud early in the morning. That's not the hotels fault but some guidance to guests to not hang out their windows at 6:30am making loud calls in speakerphone might help avoid that in future. There's a large bar and restaurant area but it looked pretty dead when we passed through on our first night (a Thursday). The hotel is on a lovely old-fashioned street, the original centre of Partenkirchen and there are plenty of beautifully ornate Bavarian buildings lining the cobbled street. Having taken a run around the Garmisch side we know the Grand Hotel is in the nicest, more traditional part of town. Overall a lovely hotel that we'd happily return to.
