To make it short: I quite liked the hotel for being a but oldstyle, with some personality. Of course it looks a bit dated, but hey, the rooms are quite generous, the beds not minuscule and it has some film noir qualities you definitively miss in "cheaper" hotel chains. The breakfast, not being galactic still was more than decent. Considering... More

I stayed 5 nights at this hotel during a business trip. Wireless internet is free and signal is very good. Breakfast was included in the price and was quite decent. I was in room 309 which is away from the street and was very quiet. I was initially given a single room that was very small at the end of... More

I was in Arthotel last April. The hotel was at a good condition and the room/bathroom clean. Not very comfortable the elevator installation as it stops in a level "between" of floors..Decent breakfast and a very gentle and kind owner. Good for business, not recommended for families. Oh!and wonderful decoration with art items.

We stopped here for one night, hotel is easy to find and is clean, quite small and basic but very good. Casa del Joey is a Portuguese restaurant next door which is excellent. Breakfast and Wifi both free. Parking out the back was 7 euro for the night.

This hotel is cheap and in a good location and the staff are friendly but thats the good side ! I was in a small single room ,that was rather dark even with 3 lights on . The window overlooked a small overgrown beergarden which was also directly opposite some residents in flats in a courtyard style, which meant that... More

We stayed at the Arthotel Royal in Karlsruhe for 4 nights during April to visit family. The hotel is great value as its location is central to the city and across the road from the State Theatre. It is a short tram from the train station. Breakfast was included for the price and was fine but not outstanding. There is... More

Decent value for money. Ideally located for the theatre in Karlsruhe - right across the street from the Baadische Staatstheater. The "art" in the hotel is hiding pretty basic ugly facilities (room, bathroom, restaurant). Breakfast was rather good and is included in the price for room. We decided to have dinner in the hotel too, but would not recommend the... More

This hotel was recommened by german colleagues of mine who live in Karlsrhue. The hotel is well situated within 10-15 minutes walking distance of main city centre, etc. It's clean and has lots of modern art pieces hanging from all the wall. The rooms are adequate for the location - not small but not huge either. You won't feel claustraphobic.... More

I will never recommend to stay in this hotel. 1. It should have been renovated 20 years ago - dirty walls, old and smoke-smelling carpets, very dark. Cigarette smell everywhere. 2. Bathroom is in really bad condition and incredibly small - 2m*0,7m. There were 2 SPIDERS (!!!) in our bathroom as well as a lot of net in room. Room... More
