Sat outside with a nice view of the square. and had good service, good glass of red wine, delicious pesto and garlic spatzzle with salad, and a good apple noodle dessert with vanilla sauce. Bathrooms were clean.

Enjoyed a meal of schnitzel and goulash in this quaint ambient restaurant. The schnitzel was massive and had masses of mushrooms with it. The chips were nice and crispy and side salad a meal in itself! The meat in the goulash was a little tough but the flavours were delicious. All in all a nice meal at an ok price...

Bitterly cold day and we wanted a late lunch, so went in to the Goldener Falke. Welcomed by the young waiter who seated us and gave us time to choose from their extensive menu. Despite changing their minds three times, the waiter got the order correct and it was produced with a minimum of fuss. The food was typically German...

Ended up seeking rooms in this hotel after an unpleasant experience with another hotel around the corner. We were welcomed with open arms and had a very pleasant stay. Our rooms were lovely. Mine overlooked the marketplace in the centre of old town Heildleberg. The rooms were comfortable and breakfast was fantastic with great service

We paid for a large attic room and though your head was in danger half the time (low beams from the eves), everything else was nice. This hotel in a bit more like a hostel in that it is above a restaurant/bar and the bartender is your reception person and if you ask for extras you may or may not...

This hotel is right on the main square in the center of town, but we were on the fourth floor and it was very quiet despite the busy location. There's no hotel entrance - you enter through the restaurant. The room was reasonably comfortable, but it had a lot of angled walls and beams and taller people could easily bump...

Great location, comfortable beds and pleasant staff... That's the good news, the rest was awful! You had to book in at the neighbouring restaurant which gave the impression that the hotel was almost an add on to the business. The room was uncomfortably hot at night, very basic with a small bathroom, poor shower and paper thin towels. The breakfast...

This is a perfectly functional hotel with clean rooms, an adequate breakfast and a good location just off the Marketplatz in the old town and at the foot of the castle. We were there during the Christmas Market and it was literally just outside the front door (note the Market closes down at 2200). The service was also adequate -...

Unique B&B with an awesome location to Marketplatz and Heidelberg castle! Top-notch service in this boutique hotel. I stay here every time I pass through Heidelberg!! Kudos to your staff :] Enjoy walking out the front door and strolling through the old town square for delish beers and food.

We did chose the place for its location at the Marketplatz and proximity to the Heidelberg castle. We had taken a bus to the city and the 2 km taxi ride took us for 10 €. Buses are there and very convenient but you need to know how and where. The hotel probably has a glorious past but none of...
