The hotel is really nice and is set over a bar. The room was very clean and comfortable. We ate in the bar restaurant for the night we stayed and food was nice and it was very good value for money. The bar wasn't really noisy at night even with the windows open. The only thing we didn't like was...

First of all, we had a hard time to find the place with our GPS. We finally made it with our written notes. Personnel was very friendly and helpful, they spoke English to help us with information. We loved the style of the hotel. No elevators, but we were on the second floor, not a big problem. The room was...

Freiburg is a nice city for a stopover. Plenty of shops, restaurant and hiking trails to be enjoyed for a day (or 2). Schuetzen is a very nice gasthaus on a good location. In summer they have a lovely terrace (biergarten) on which they serve very nice traditional food, and liters of beer. And you need liters of beer for...

It is a good gasthaus, with a friendly staff. There is private parking available next to the gasthaus. The rooms are good. The breakfast was very good, with wide selection available. The accommodation is not so far from the city center, it was approx. 15-20 minutes by walk, or a few stops (5 minutes) by the tram (there are a...

First the positives: the personnel were friendly and the breakfast was good. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The position is OK for visiting the old town - a 15 minute walk through a few sidestreets and along the side of the river. There is also a tram stop nearby. We stayed here for two nights in June...

The gasthaus had a shared bathroom for 3 rooms, but was everything very clean, a good place to sleep, tasteful breakfast. Excelent staff, very nice of them open their doors 11:30 p.m. on easter holiday.

We stayed here for 2 nights in two rooms in late December. Really handy location with tram outside that takes you into the city centre in 5 minutes. Also handy to the soccer stadium (we came back in January for a game). Rooms were simple but clean and warm. Bathrooms were small but ok. If all the roms are full,...

When we arrived at the front desk at the bar, the young woman immediately gave us a long form/questionnaire to fill out. No other greeting. I looked at the form she wanted us to fill out and the font was so tiny, I was unable to read it. I told her I could not read it. She obviously was annoyed...
