We made a reservation through TripAdvisor, which uses Booking.com for this hotel. Even though the listing quoted 'fully cancellable' and no payment until we got to the hotel, the hotel charged my credit card twice (for a nominal fee.) The charges were made the same day. When we contacted Booking, we went through a 5 day process where Booking was... More

The hotel has great location, but that's the only good thing about it. Our room was weirdly structured, had no air conditioning (extremely annoying on a fairly hot day!), the facilities felt very dated, and parking was expensive. Breakfast was pretty bad too.

Good hotel with Russian manager Polina) in hotel you can eat the very good local food. UnModern rooms, but with good view and with bath (if you choose). We enjoyed! All is near: spa, mineral swimming pools. Big bed, so we can easy sleep with our little son.

I spent only one night in that hotel, driving home from Switzerland. I would recommend it for: huge and well equipped room, variety and quality of food for breakfast and the location (close to the city parking and thermes). Lack of wi-fi might be a disadvantage for someone.

When booking this hotel, my priority was proximity to the Friedrichsbad Spa and the Caracella Therme. I didnt plan on spending time at the hotel so I wanted an economical, no frills choice and this hotel had decent ratings, was right acros the street from both my destinations and was the most affordable hotels with availability that met my criteria.... I had a horrible situation with another hotel I had booked for that night (Hotel Bischof) and was needing a place to stay last minute. We were only staying one night to visit the spa. This place is a few steps away from the spa. I went in and asked if there was anything available and the man looked and... More

As soon as we arrived and checked into the Hotel, staff gave us a very warm welcome and they were immediately helpful. We were staying in the spacious penthouse which was very clean and neat. The room was also very well decorated which in turn gave it a very homey ambiance. The bathroom was also spacious and clean. The WiFi... More

I enjoyed my two-night stay at the Hotel am Friedrichsbad. It's tiny but quaint with a welcome glass of bubbly upon arrival. Our bags were taken up the stairs for us and we got discounted tickets to both bathhouses at reception. You can also take your room towel with you to the bathhouse and they will replace. (Tip- don't take... More

The hotel is extremely well-situated in the centre of Baden-Baden about 20m from both sets of thermal baths. The room was clean and comfortable, but a bit noisy because of the restaurant on the terrace immediately below. The entrance to the hotel is very narrow and is also used by waitstaff going to and fro the diners outside which can... More
