We booked this hotel based on the online reviews. It’s more than we typically spend per night, but this was a special kid free weekend. The room was clean and the breakfast was very nice. A nice perk is if you book directly through the hotel, as a thank you, the first fill of the mini bar is free. I so wanted to love this hotel. Despite advertising air conditioning, our room just wasn’t getting cold. I went and spoke with the night clerk on our second night, thinking maybe it was operator error and could be easily fixed. The night clerk pulled up our room on the computer and tells me that the air conditioning is broke. It would have been nice if given the fact they obviously saw this on check in, they had put us in a functioning room. The clerk apologized and said he would make a note in our record for the manager to see in the morning. We were checking out the next day, so it didn’t make sense to move us to another room. I asked the night clerk about compensation, but he didn’t have that authority. The next morning, the manager was working the front desk when we checked out. I wasn’t asked how our stay was, so I informed her of the issue. I was told that the room was at a comfortable temperature and no discount would be given. I’m very disappointed with customer service, a small gesture such as comping our breakfast or our tickets to the therme baths would have been a nice token. I understand that things happen, I don’t understand not valuing your clientele.…
Excellent hotel, lovely rooms, lovely staff and great location. Our stay started with Jessica on the front desk who set the tone from the start. So friendly and helpful whilst checking in and giving some local advice. It continued with our rooms which were spacious and clean The walk to the centre is short and pleasant and the hotel is located vey close to the Spa for those interested. All in all we had a lovely 2-day stay in baden-baden made all the more pleasant by this lovely hotel.
We loved this hotel. The facility, location, service, breakfast and room were all excellent. The room was a little stuffy and with only a heavy comforter, we stayed too a bit too warm each night. Having said that, we would stay here again in a heartbeat.
This is an excellent hotel just off the centre of Baden Baden and right at the Spas. The hotel itself if absolutely fantastic with superb staff and an amazing breakfast. We loved our stay here. The only thing I would give a miss to is the restaurant for dinner, much better places in Baden Baden for dinner. But apart from that this is a top notch property in every respect.
the hotel location is very close to therme. there is good parking. very big rooms. easy to do old city walking. the price is very fair. there are very near good restaurants. good staff. very recommended.
My husband, daughter, and I stayed at this wonderful, family-run hotel recently for a few nights at the end of a trip to Helsinki and Berlin. It was a wonderful, relaxed end to our vacation. We travel often and the service here was professional and world-class; I don't think we have experienced better service anywhere in the world, at any price point. The friendly front desk staff printed out covid test results for us, helped my daughter with train schedules to Frankfurt, and ordered a cab to take her to the train station (many thanks to Carolin!). We also had our questions re: hiking or touring the Black Forest answered. The room was efficiently and well-designed for comfort, without waste. Our room faced the large deck with a view of the Therme and the rolling green. It was spotlessly clean with a comfortable mattress, nice linens, and a deep bathtub. Toiletries were French and smelled heavenly. There was a towel warmer, heated floors in the bathroom, and adequate lighting, although the room got plenty of sunlight. The deck was not private (it was shared by the restaurant and a couple of other rooms) but we were able to spend some quiet time out there, sipping wine or coffee at the table outside and taking in the scenery. The included amenities were generous and included tea, some coffee in pods (kettle and coffee maker were in the room), as well as two small bottles of wine, a beer, some light snacks, and mineral water. The water, coffee, and tea were refreshed daily, while the first round of the mini-bar was included in the rate. As others have noted, it is a couple of minutes away from the Therme, where we spent two very pleasant afternoons. The downtown area is around 10 minutes on foot, where you can find both nicer and more casual restaurants. We also did a wonderful walk up through some forested land, beginning near the hotel, which was spectacular. Breakfast was also delicious with the usual European-style breakfast choices but everything tasted fresh and you could also order a cooked egg dish or pancakes. In short, this hotel had everything we could possibly need or want and helped make our stay in Baden-Baden relaxing and enjoyable. Highly, highly recommended!…
The hotel is lovely, spotlessly clean, and so well located. It's a short walk from the city center, but it's also right next to the Caracalla Spa--there's even a walkway from the hotel directly into the spa for extra convenience. The service was super friendly and helpful. They provided us with excellent recommendations for dining and activities in the area, as well as helping us book passes at the spa. They also provided tote bags with spa towels for us to use while at the spa. The next time I'm in Baden-Baden overnight, I will absolutely book this hotel again.
Our stay was perfect in every aspect - good location, sparkling clean room with great attention to detail, staff was welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, with great view from the terrace. Highly recommended!
We have stayed here many times before. On this trip, we realised that this is possibly the best hotel we have ever stayed at anywhere in the world, including all star levels. The staff are incredibly thoughtful and friendly. They are always one step ahead of you to ensure that your stay is a first class experience. The breakfast is delicious. A great selection of pastries, cold meat and cheeses, fruit, yoghurt, cereals and other hot meals cooked for you. The rooms are spacious including large bathroom with bath, safe in room, complimentary mini bar, lounges and ample storage room. We were in Baden Baden to visit the Caracalla Spa. The great thing about this hotel is that you can walk to the spa via the underground carpark so you do not need to go outside in the cold. A first class hotel providing a first class experience. Highly recommended.…
Designed and run by a family of architects, this hotel is designed for a comfortable and stylish stay. Accessibility issues are well considered in the design, making this place comfortable for guests with limited mobility. The location is perfect. Situated at the end of a pedestrian street, filled with shops, cafés and restaurants, and only steps away from Caracalla Thermal Baths. If visiting the baths is part of your travel plan, this is the best accommodation. You can just cross the courtyard, or use the underground passage from the hotel. Just wrap yourself in a plush robe provided by the hotel, and don’t forget to grab a spa towel in a fresh linen bag at the front desk when heading out. Voucher for the spa can also be purchased at the front desk. Breakfast features local trout, freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh avocado and delicious roasted vegetables. Eggs, cooked to order were prepared perfectly every time. Tables in the breakfast room were impeccably set every morning. The room has a terrace with an amazing panoramic view of Baden-Baden. Service was very attentive and personalized every time. Lena is a real treasure on the staff team, multilingual, with impeccable manners, she provided exceptional service to us and other guests, making us feel very well taken care of. As a matter of fact, the whole staff works seamlessly to ensure your needs are met: our diligent housekeeper, exchanging bathrobes to a proper size before you even ask, intelligent and very attentive ladies at the front desk, helping and guiding us from the moment we walked in. From my observation, the owners of the hotel take great pride of their creation, and work very hard along with the team, ensuring a perfect experience for every guest. Little details, like a table with mineral water in the lobby to keep guests hydrated, motorized exterior shutters in the room, carefully selected, good quality complimentary local beverages in the mini-fridge, proper-size robes for each guest (before you even ask), a multilingual selection of TV channels, or accommodating an earlier check in after long travel contributes to the atmosphere of luxury boutique. The hotel is perfect practically for everything: business conference, romantic gateway for couples of any age, rehabilitation trips, a girls weekend, or Black Forest exploration. We are definitely planning to return.…
