Late afternoon arrival and dealt with cheerfully at reception. Good size room, very clean. Dinner was very good. Menu on the small size but the food we had was perfectly cooked and presented. Breakfast was also well presented with a good selection.

One of our finest stays in Germany. The room was great and met our expectations, however the restaurant was a revelation. Very good dishes and wine list, don't miss the local hand-picked mushrooms. The owners seem to be very helpful and honest people, perhaps the most polite and welcoming persons we spoke to during our trip. Would certainly recommend it...

We were driving through Germany and stopped here for one night. It's quite a fun, quirky place with friendly staff. The rooms are big, comfortable and clean. Ours was on the top floor (stairs only), with a lovely view of the Black Forest. Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of choice. We drove to Baden Baden for the evening which...

This was our 3rd stay at the Hirsch during our yearly trip to Baden Baden in August. It is a small family run hotel with a very good restaurant serving high quality food prepared with products from the region. Friendly and sufficient service. We had dinner twice in the garden. On our last night the owner of the hotel even...

Got a nice room on the 2nd floor with a twin bed. The room was medium sized and very clean. On arrival (Monday) there's was no staff present, but a key to our room and a short guide to the hotel's facilities and Baden-Baden were lying on a desk for us. The breakfast was nice and enjoyable. The only downside...

Well, not that great. Our room was a tiny space on top floor. There was no air con and it was very very stuffy even with the window wide open but there was no circulation. A fan would have been nice. The bathroom was tiny and the shower even tinier. We showed up on a Wednesday and we were warned...

We stopped here on route to Monaco for one night and absolutely loved it. We were warmly welcomed and sat in the garden enjoying beer before an amazing dinner and some wonderful local wine. Room was really spacious, parking on site and the hotel is perfectly placed to drive the B500 early the next morning. Amazing service and a wonderful,...

We stayed here for one night on our way to Italy. After a long journey we were welcomed by the very friendly owner.we had 2 dogs with us who were allowed in the dining room. The place was very busy with parties but the daughter took the time to talk us through the regional menu...wild boar, venison etc. And recommended...

I could not find a place to review this restaurant but we ate here two nights in a row because we enjoyed it so much. Appreciated the English menu and the personal translation of the special menu. They were featuring seasonable pumpkin soup and mushrooms and all four meals were scrumptious. Service was perfect. Room was very attractive. Wine selection...

Just back from a road trip around Europe and I have to say that this is an ideal stop-over - the second time I've stayed at this hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to stop there again. At the northern end of the B500 road (a good warm-up for some more serious Alpine passes further south), it's quiet, homely, comfortable and,...

“Get reservations well in advance during the seasons when Baden-Baden has major events, such as the blooming of the crocuses in spring, fall colors, Christmas, conferences, major cultural events at theater and opera house, etc. I highly recommend the larger suites.”
