I needed a hotel pretty central about five minutes walk fro the Solaise ski lifts. It's my fourth visit so I knew what to expect. The hotel is a shabby 3 star with decent food. It is three quarters board namely breakfast, afternoon tea, cakes, biscuits and soup and a 4 course dinner with free house wine. The rooms are...

Like other reviewers, I am also surprised that Mark Warner put their name to this hotel. I do not mind the fact that the hotel is very basic, it is a 3 star after all. However, we were also struck with sickness as were other guests, despite using the hand gel supplied in reception and in the restuarant. I am...

This hotel is in a great location in the very centre of Val d'Isere. There are two bus stops for getting to Solaise, Le Fornet and La Daile just across the square and it is an easy walk to the Solaise chair and nursery slopes. When it was first built it was probably one of the best in Val d'Isere...

The location is great as it is in the middle of the town centre and right in front of the ski bus that takes you to the main lifts. But housekeeping and food is a bit of a hit and miss. Bathrooms not cleaned for the day, toilet rolls not replaced, new towels felt damp, left wet damp towels in...

Firstly, yes the hotel is still a bit scruffy but we knew that before we booked and the decor doesn't detract from the great skiing, location, food, staff service or childcare. This year the food was significantly better than last year. Evidently a 'proper' chef is in charge and delivering delicious, interesting menus. Every meal was well prepared and well...

Shabby, poor interior. Depressing rooms, we asked for mattress protectors as there was one thin sheet on the beds. We discovered cobwebs and grime in the corners by the windows and would suggest a professional deep clean not a superficial clean would help. Bathrooms thankfully refurbished and easy for staff to clean. Towels quite thick, toilet paper isn't great, more...

Firstly, having read the reviews referring to stomach disorders I find this difficult to reconcile with my visit 13th-20th March 2016. The food was superb, varied and well presented, my only criticism was that I consumed too much of the food that Greg Clarkson and Jack Blumenthal served up! Accommodation, I read that some felt it rough around the edges!...

I stayed in this hotel in early March and despite all best efforts, by the third morning two members of my family had been struck down by Norvirus and were subsequently laid up for a couple of days. The young staff were doing their best but the oppressive heat and lack of ventilation seemed to make matters worse. The hotel...

I've stayed at this hotel on two previous occasions - it was always a bit rough around the edges but very central and reasonable value. Unfortunately, standards have slipped embarrassingly. How Mark Warner are still happy to put their name to this place I don't know. The hotel is extremely tired - it looks like it hasn't had a refurb...

Visited from 06/03/16 - 13/03/16. 4 out of 6 of our party came down with norovirus by day 4 of the trip. Hotel was unclean and staff did nothing in response to telling them we were ill except when prompted to change bed sheets, towels and deep clean the rooms. We are all hygienic people and wash our hands regularly,...
