Quirky common areas, but overall enjoyable. Location absolutely fantastic: could snowboard to almost the front door. Restaurant very pleasant with reasonable menu and quiet but nice atmosphere. Breakfast very good (European). Staff very friendly and helped me find open lifts on a windy day to avoid the crowds.

There's nothing wrong with old fashioned, particularly if it's well maintained and looks of its period, which this hotel does apart from my bedroom and landing which had a rather worn feel to them (308). The breakfast was average, the receptionists always courteous and helpful. The location is central and very close to ski lifts, shops and restaurants. I left...

Our stay here was quite a mixed experience. The staff were excellent , perhaps apart from the lady who seems to own the hotel who seems a little surly. The hotel is In an ideal location and you can almost ski to the front door. The building looks shabby from outside but it is modern and light inside. We stayed...

The hotel is located right in the centre next to the slopes, with a reasonable view of le face. It has a great breakfast in the morning between 7-10. The rooms are spacious but not flash. Good bathroom. No mini bar which is a good thing!!! Tv basic channels. Nice balcony with view. Nice gym sauna and steam room. Also...

Firstly the location is perfect, so close to the slopes/lifts/ski school/town. Room was great, booked the small twin so didn't expect too much but were very pleasantly surprised. Sauna, steam room and gym immaculately clean - a huge bonus! Fantastic choice for breakfast everyday. Staff were great - reception staff incredibly helpful with making reservations - nothing was too much...

A beautiful hotel located in the center of Val d'Isère and near the slopes. The staff was helpful and friendly. Checking in was fast and smooth. The room has basic amenities and is big enough that can accommodate two people with their luggage. The only problem in the room is the walls, and you can hear people talking from the...

Booked this last minute; was very pleasantly surprised! Great value in terms of VdI hotels; extremely attentive, friendly service, great location very close to lifts, lively village. Bonus feature: They offer luggage storage with very clean, nice showers so you can check out, ski your last day, then shower, change and collect your luggage before hitting the road. Small detail...

Having only booked at the last minute and being Val regulars we were somewhat nervous about staying here despite the good reviews. Our nerves disappeared immediately upon check in which was efficient and friendly. Again, like another reviewer dont be put off my the exterior of the hotel but just be wowed by the location, with enough snow, you can...

I choose the Ormelune as I had been impressed on previous visits. Having booked through a booking agency I was very pleasantly surprised to receive a lovely room with a nice bath with shower over [as special request] and not shower as booked and paid for. I know Val d Isere very well and the location could not be more...

A great hotel in Val d'Isère. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The room was very spacious, and I loved that they you could activate all the lights right from the bed. There was also lots of wall receptacle to charge all my electronics. The breakfast buffet was most excellent, and they did a very good job in keeping...
