We stayed for a few days during our visit to Lyon. The location is great, right on the Saone and in Vieux Lyon. We were able to walk to restaurants, cafes and shops in the charming and quaint Old Lyon. The room was clean and...More
We paid for the most starndard room you could get as it was a short getaway we were looking for and were limited budget wise. We finally arrived, were given our room key and opened our room door....all i could say was omg! My husband...More
The location is very good - just a bridge away from the center, and very close to most visiting spots. The room we stayed was located in the top floor, with a slanted ceiling. The bathroom didn't have a shower curtain, and the highest point...More
The rooms are clean and comfortable. The service (front desk, restaurant) is quite good. There's a nice selection for breakfast, which includes fresh juice. The location is excellent. And the wifi works very well.
I stayed here for two nights and was shocked to be given a room without a window to the outside. (The two windows in the room look out onto an inside lobby area and are sealed shut.) This wouldn't be allowed in the US. In...More
Plenty of very good inexpensive small restaurants near the hotel. Ask reception, in our experience their advice is reliable but we also suggest for the ones recommended below you book in advance if eating at a busy time... More

Leon de Lyon restaurant:
:-Turn right out of the hotel and cross road (quai de Bondy) at the traffic lights, crossing again immediately to the south side of the Pont La Feuillée.
Bear slightly right before crossing the road (quai de la Pêcherie) and then proceed along the rue de Constantine directly in front of you. Take the first right into rue Lanterne and then the first left into rue de la Platière. Proceed in a straight line and you will see Leon de Lyon on the corner with rue Pléney (the entrance being on rue de la Platière).
Estimated walking time 10-15 minutes
Le Sathonay:(small traditional restaurant)
Turn left out of the hotel and cross the road (quai de Bondy) at the first set of pedestrian lights. Walk via the footbridge (Passerelle Saint-Vincent) to the other side of the Saône. Cross the road (quai Saint-Vincent) immediately on the other side of the footbridge and also cross the next road (rue de la Martinière) - both have pedestrian lights. Continue until the gate to the school (Groupe Scolaire Robert Doisneau) is in front of you. Turning right you are then in rue Sargent Blandan and the restaurant is on your right, 150m further on.
Estimated walking time 8-10 minutes
Le Bouchon des Filles (traditional restaurant) one passes it on the way to Le Sathonay.
