Just spent four nights in this quaint hotel. I received a warm welcome from the couple who run it. The room was large and had all the cooking bits and pieces and a fridge. My room was at the back of the building and had large windows that opened up to a school. There was noise from the children during... More

This was the cleanest place I have been in for a long time. Presented immaculately, functional and efficient. Not only was it spotless when we arrived, but the room was cleaned and tidied on a daily basis as well, which I hadn't expected. The bed was comfortable - though we did need extra pillows, which were provided as soon as... More

The apartments are very well located. You are close to everything you need: shops, metro, bus station, supermarket to buy food. The neighborhood is very safe and that’s a big plus. In the back of the building is a school, and at certain hours of the day can be quite noisy. I was a little bit annoyed by the lady... More

This was my second stay at Résidence Avy. The flats are bright, clean and offer basic facilities - a comfortable bed, shower, toilet, kitchen area with enough equipment to make a simple meal. In Lyon, why would you want more? - it's packed with restaurants for all price ranges. The location is great - just off Rue Victor Hugo, two... More

We stayed in a studio apartment for 5 nights in February and felt we had chosen well. The residence is very central, midway between the Place Bellecour and Perrache station, so many sites were within easy walking distance. Shops and a good choice of restaurants are just round the corner. We had a warm welcome from the owner and saw... More

We booked a studio apartment which was more than adequate for our four night stay over Easter. The kitchen facilities were fine and the apartment was very light and airy. We were at the back which overlooked a school. It was quiet at night and I am pleased we were not at the front of the building as it could... More

Very conveniently located in the center of Lyon. Basic yet adequate equipment - all you need. Towels are provided as well as a small household starter kit; bring own soap, shampoo and hairdryer - this is not clearly indicated on reservation websites. Daily making of the beds and cleaning included. Soundproofing of the rooms needs a review. Payments in cash... More

DO NOT STAY HERE. The landlord and his wife are super whiny and obnoxious. Also, the place is small and disgusting. The pictures are NOTHING like what it actually is. It is a SMALL room with a little cots that he thinks are beds. The location also isn't that great, and it is WAY overpriced. Please, please, please never stay... More

“The cooler side of the building is unfortunately over the road and there is some noise from passers by and rubbish lorries at 5.30am, but it's quieter at weekends. We also found that the spare roll of toilet paper had been neatly packed in the "welcome" box in the kitchen area - after we had bought some more. Also the welcome hot drinks consist of 2 sachets of instant coffee and 2 of green tea - these are not topped up and no milk provided. Supermarkets in abundance near by, so it's no problem.”
