What a wonderful time we had! Stayed in the Le Gouter large apartment with 4 friends for my 40th birthday and we had an excellent stay. The apartment location is brilliant. The facilities are excellent and met all of our needs, with a well equipped kitchen and toiletries. The apartments are right next to the main hotel and the facilities there were great, with a lovely spa (although the pool was quite cold and not many changing rooms) but the best steam room I have ever been in. The hotel had a lovely complementary hot drinks station as well as popcorn and juice and sweets for the kids. It was great to have the ski hire shop in the hotel and the guys in there were really helpful and organised. Our hot tub was lovely and hot with great views of the mountains. Our apartment also had a small sauna, as well as access to a shared boot room. Close to local bars and restaurants and right next to the Aiguille du Midi cable car. We visited the Frometon restaurant on our first night and that was also very good. Highly recommend and would definitely return.

On a plus side, a really comfortable hotel with plenty of social space. Popcorn and apres ski crepes was a real win with the children. There is also a toddler play area and chess / games for older kids. The ski shop team were really accommodating and the convenience of their ski storage was good. The concierge were incredibly helpful both during the trip and before hand - they couldn’t do more. The spa is a great standard - lovely facility using nux (also available for in room toiletries.) Worth noting children’s swim time is restricted, a plus for some but was disappointing for us. A few down sides - no fridge in the room, breakfast quality wasn’t as expected and do think the hotel is very expensive. We had a variety of rooms in our group and would recommend the family attic room but be prepared to pay. Location a good, near a bus stop and a short walk into town. If you are with children and doing ski school on either of the two main locations then you do need to be organised to get the first bus out in the morning.

Thank you for your review. I am delighted you had a very good stay at the Heliopic Hotel and Spa. I am really thrilled you appreciated your stay and especially the quality of the spa and the professionalism of our concierge and front office team.. About the lack of fridge in the rooms, it is a eco-friendly choice. Did you know the the fridge in a room represents 54% of the power consumption (excetping heater) ? So close to the glaciers, we should act and that is why we prefered install water fountains in the lobby with glass bottles. For a few mounths, we have not provided plastic bootles in the hotel. Do you need we conserve someting in a fridge for you ? No problem, we have a big shared fridge at the back office. See you soon. Thomas BARBIER - Hotel Manager

Extraordinary ski hotel in many ways. The location is close to the bus station for easy access to the ski areas and within walking distance of most Chamonix attractions. The construction is new and spacious with a large lobby, spa, and restaurants. The rooms are good sized and well appointed although the lighting in the rooms is somewhat dim. Service was excellent on the front desk, in the ski shop and in the restaurant.

We stayed at this hotel for our ski trip and enjoyed it so much! In addition to being in a great location with gorgeous views, the layout of the lobby area was fantastic. Parents can get a drink at the bar while kids get hot chocolate. Our kids were entertained by the arcade machines and by chess, giving us time to soak in the relaxing vibe in the bar. Also, don't miss the breakfast at the hotel. There is so much to choose from, and it's delicious! And I want to thank the hotel for being so considerate about my son's nut allergy. The staff was so helpful and lovely. I will add that we rented skis at a ski shop outside the hotel and were able to store them at the hotel. But next trip, I would definitely rent the skis from the hotel ski shop, as those skis at the hotel shop were in the absolute best condition.

Amazing hotel. Staff were extremely helpful. Complimentary tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby. Boards games and children entertainment were also available. Spa was beautiful, clean and relaxing. We stayed in the loft room with mountains view. Located in the centre of Chamonix everything was within a 10 minutes walk.

We stayed for a long weekend at the Heliopic and it was fantastic. Couldn’t fault it. Location is as right next to Aguile de Midi so really handy. No noise can be heard at the hotel from the cable car. The walk into the main centre is less than 10 mins. Staff are really friendly, especially at the front desk and the guys in the ski shop. Spa was decent, been to better spas but it did the job. Food: breakfast is fantastic. Loads of choice and quality is great. It can get busy but you just get on with it. What really stood out was my wife damaged her knee skiing and we were checking out the following day. The front desk staff were really accommodating and made sure she was looked after as I ran around Chamonix getting the appropriate splints to support her knee. We would love to come back in the summer and experience Chamonix then

The hotel design is modern minimalist. The location is excellent, next to aqua du midi (the sky station to mont blanc) and only 5 minutes walk to city center. The hotel offers healthy breakfast. The front office is knowledgeable, detail in providing information and tips, fluent in English. We booked the family room and got the bunkbed so my daughter felt very happy and comfortable. I do recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chamonix.

Lovely hotel. Comfortable beds, clean, spectacular views. Good breakfast with hot options (bacon, eggs, DIY boiled eggs and croque monsieurs) as well as pastries, cereals etc etc. Only downside is one morning none of the food warmers were on so the hot food was cold. Nevertheless that was a minor glitch. Loved the coffee/hot chocolate/tea station in the lobby. Spa was lovely although the pool was murky…not sure if that was meant to be that way or if it needed a good dose of chlorine :). Nicely located and an easy walk to restaurants/shops.
