We've been to Chamonix snowboarding six times in the last four years and stopped in hotels and apartments of differing grades and locations. This by far tops them all! If you want five star luxury with a swimming pool etc it's not for you. But if you want a fantastic location in a 100+ year french hotel steeped in history...

I stayed here from 28th Jan to 4th Feb 2017. A lovely family run hotel in the centre of Chamonix with an interesting history as it was the site of the first hotel in the village. Marvellous rooms, very clean with comfortable beds. The Room tv's had BBC 1, 2 & world news! Buffet breakfasts were something to look forward...

Having just returned Home from a 6 night stay at this hotel, I cannot fault it. It's situated right in the centre of Chamonix, it's clean, comfortable, warm with plenty of hot water for a bath or shower to sooth those aching limbs after a day on the slopes. The breakfasts are continental and plentiful and the staff do take...

If you're looking for a contemporary, refurbished hotel then you may be disappointed with Hotel Richemond. If you're looking for somewhere friendly, central and interesting, then you may be in luck. Three of us just returned from 4 nights here. We chose this hotel because of its central location (literally 1 minute walk to the bus stop, serving the entire...

We Stayed here for a week in January, I was trying to convince my wife she would enjoy trying skiing. No luck there, but we both enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Centrally based with easy access to shops, bars and restaurants plus bus and train services. It's not the Ritz, but still a lot of hotel for the money. No...

Just back from a long weekend and stayed at the Richemond and it was superb. The hotel is in a great location, the room was clean and warm and the breakfasts were more than adequate. A little dated but who cares. But what makes this place stand out are the staff, honestly we could have taken them home. Super friendly...

We booked two rooms for three of us for 'n ski-weekend in Chamonix at the Richemond. The hotel is a beautiful and rather tall buidling almost in the centre of town and situated right on the main shopping road. The hotel was built by the current owner's grand parents 6 years before the first world war, so this hotel definitely...

Very helpful staff, literally couldn't do enough for us, and a brilliant location. OK there are parts of the place that need a bit of a birthday, but only cosmetically, and it represented great value for money. As a regular visitor to Chamonix this will now be my first choice hotel. See you next time Hotel Richemond, and thanks!

This hotel is 2 stars apparently, probably because most of the rooms haven't been renovated for years. Nonetheless, it is very clean, got most things you need, so I would consider it more 3 star. Staff members are very friendly and helpful. Great location as well - right in the centre. We also got free upgrade due to other guest...
