We stayed as couple in our own double room, with our three kids down the corridor in a separate three bed room. We loved every minute of it. While the rooms are not new flash and modern they retain a lot of charm. We stayed in rooms with views to the Midi, a balcony, a claw-foot bath, and the sounds...

Have just come back from a weeks stay. Firstly the hotel is right in the centre of town an ideal spot for shopping, bars and pubs and the ski bus stop is just outside the back door. What can I say the most charming hotel I have ever stayed in, a beautiful old building filled with items in keeping with...

I have just returned from a lovely short stay. The hotel is dated and tired but it is very reasonably priced, fantastic location (on Main Street but also minutes from ski buses), clean, the staff are lovely, helpful and friendly. Firstly you must remember this is a 2 star venue which would have been 5 star pre WW1. Much of...

Lovely stay at this hotel, staff all lovely and very helpful despite travel republic messing up the booking so that the hotel had no choice but to change our room. Hotel is positioned right in the centre of town opposite a decent pub called 'the pub'. The rooms are old French style but very spacious with lovely views of the...

That a place such as this still exists and thrives in such a prime location is a tribute to those that run it. No complaints as it is exactly what it says it on the tin. Simple accommodation, clean, prime spot in chamonix town centre, reasonable prices and they are very friendly. The only bad point was the breakfast, which...

This was my second stay at hotel richemond with my friend for a weekend ski break. We both absolutely love this hotel! The staff are on hand to give you advice and information about all available local activities. The ski bus stop is at the back of the hotel along with a safe and secure area to store your skis,...

We've been to Chamonix snowboarding six times in the last four years and stopped in hotels and apartments of differing grades and locations. This by far tops them all! If you want five star luxury with a swimming pool etc it's not for you. But if you want a fantastic location in a 100+ year french hotel steeped in history...

I stayed here from 28th Jan to 4th Feb 2017. A lovely family run hotel in the centre of Chamonix with an interesting history as it was the site of the first hotel in the village. Marvellous rooms, very clean with comfortable beds. The Room tv's had BBC 1, 2 & world news! Buffet breakfasts were something to look forward...
