I returned home from a 7 day holiday at La Sapiniere 2 days ago and wish I'd booked 2 weeks. The hotel rooms were very basic but clean and serviced everyday, the view from the balcony was probably one of the best in Chamonix with a beautiful view of Mont Blanc. Meals were served in dining room which was spacius...

We are seven days into a fortnight's stay and cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful little hotel. We arrived at ten o'clock at night (hoping for a sandwich if we were lucky) to be offered a delicious three course meal with two bottles of wine. This set the tone for the holiday which has got better and better each...

The team at La Sapiniere are fantastic, and have a real passion of not only the hotel, but also the location. I will ensure your kind words are passed on to the team, and I'm so pleased you were able to be a part of truly expectional season.

We needed a comfortable and good value hotel to use as a base for walking throughout the Chamonix valley for a week long trip. Hotel La Sapiniere fits perfectly. Excellent location, staff helpful and attentive beyond reproach, food adequate. The best value for money hotel I can recall staying at. I wouldn't give a second thought to staying at La...

Sometimes it can be a mistake to return to a holiday destination but this was not one of those. Since our last visit four years ago, the hotel has undergone updating to bathrooms, bedrooms and communal areas to make it a very comfortable place to stay in possibly the best location in Chamonix. It is situated on the edge of...

Two weeks in this hotel was fabulous. Danny the manager and all staff were brilliant. Meals were lovely with first class presentation. Chalet had great views with just a short walk from town centre. Travelling with a large walking group it was a great location for us all to visit all local attractions. We had all purchased passes for chairs...

Stunning views and a great location in a quiet area just a few minutes walk from the centre of Chamonix. I can't say enough good things about the staff as they were simply fantastic. The service was great, food great, free wine/fruit juice/tea/coffee, apperitifs, picnic lunch (including baguette, crisps, fruit, snack bar and juice boxes!). Great value for money and...

We stayed at this hotel first three years ago. It is manned by mainly British staff with an excellent chef and management. Our package included Half board but we also were given packed lunches, afternoon tea with home made cakes and free wine at the three course dinner. Its excellent value and because of its management causes no language problems....

In my opinion Ingham’s chalet hotels offer some of the best ‘value for money’ alpine holidays on the market. In this regard the Sapiniere lived up to my expectations with Danny and his team providing 5 star service on a 3 star budget. The views from the Hotel are just awesome with Mont-Blanc rising up behind the town and a...

We only stayed in this hotel as a last minute decision but we did not regret it. Where do I start? Staff lovely and extremely welcoming and attentive. All young and enthusiastic led by Danny the Manager. Special thanks to all those involved with the food side of things. The Chef Dylan and his team produced great food every night...

Fantastic! We have already booked for 2017 to return to La Sapiniere in Chamonix. This was our 3rd visit and did not think the service and value could be improved. Danny, this year's manager, had tweaked certain aspects of the hotel. His staff, bar none, were so professional. Every guest was special to them. Nothing was too much trouble. Our...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Arguably the best located hotel in Chamonix. The Savoy nursery slopes are literally just over the road from the hotel, from where the Savoy téléski lift whisks you up to the Brévent gondola, to access one of the best intermediate areas in the resort.Alternatively, the ski-bus to Chamonix's other ski areas stops just 50m away. The hotel's attractive dining room has semi-circular bay windows with stunning views of Mont Blanc. Here you will enjoy Inghams great choice of menus and complimentary quality wines for dinner. Inghams offer the conviviality of larger tables for chalet-style dining with your fellow guests, or the opportunity to dine à deux should you wish. The atmospheric lounge/bar welcomes you for your pre-dinner apéritif and canapés, or to relax after dinner over coffee and a night-cap ... more   less
