We stayed at La Chaumiere for the first time in early February for a short skiing vacation with friends and family. We really liked the atmosphere, our room, the service, food and the cozy lobby bar. We also had a dinner at the hotel every night, and four times out of five the food was great. The location is about...

We could not have been made more welcome with a spotlessly clean hotel and modest sized rooms. I see other comments regarding bathroom size, but both our rooms exceeded our expectations compared to other alpine ski hotels we have stayed in. The breakfast was good and the evening meals we tried were excellent. There is a comfortable quiet lounge and...

This is a great hotel! Just what you need, chic, simple, clean, cosy and good food. There were very helpful with the booking, helped us with an extra bed in the room. We arrived quite late in the evening from Geneve (with the transportaion they recommened from the hotel - good!) and there was a GREAT 3 course meal included...

We have stayed here 9 times now for snowboarding holidays. Now under new management and refurbished to a good standard. The food is also a lot better, with 6 of our 7 meals being of a good standard. It now misses the nice touches of a small privately owned hotel, but on the whole the changes are for the best....

We came here to spend a ski holiday, it was a perfect choice for us. The plan we booked with the hotel included breakfast and dinner, both were very good, especially dinner which included entree, main course and dessert. The hotel is small, nice and comfortable and the price is reasonable. The location is great because it has a train...

Recently stayed for two nights , before and after doing the Tour de Mont Blanc. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Decent breakfast available. The rooms pleasant. The street facing ones have a view of the mountain, which is a magic view, but then again they noisy in the day but at night the road traffic stops. The back...

I have to say, there was much to like about this place. The staff were friendly and helpful. The common areas were spacious, bright and modern. The garden in the back was absolutely lovely, with views right onto Mont Blanc. It was a little walk outside of downtown Chamonix, but not at all far. The biggest negative for me was...

We booked two nights and enjoyed our stay. Recommend dinner as it is a little out of town and the food was delicious. The rate with dinner and breakfast and dinner included was excellent. 20 minute walk into town. Train about 50m away, which ran every hour. We arranged for a day pass which included lifts, gondolas and trains and...

Even though this hotel hasn't got all the facilities in your room as others it is a brilliant stay. Located about 600m from the centre of town and only about 50m from a train station it is ideal. The rooms are very comfortable, large, great bathroom and the views are to die for. We had room 109 with a view...

La Chaumiere not only met our expectations, it far exceeded them. We stayed as a couple over a long weekend (Valentine's day - for our 3 year anniversary) and had everything we needed for a superb ski holiday. We arrived with low expectations due to its two stars, but were pleasantly surprised to be wowed by every part of our...
