I stayed in the hut on the 11th/12th of September on our way to the summit. From the reviews in trip advisor I was afraid that I had made a mistake when booking at this hut. Most of the reviews involved the rudeness of the staff. Our experience was the exact opposite. Very nice and polite staff and generally excellent...

I was seriously scared of all the bad reviews on Tripadvisor for this hut, but I can only say by being there myself that either things have changed radically, or they were never that bad to begin with FOR A REFUGE. I saw reviews like "there is no internet" and just wondered... duuh.. of Course there is no internet! You...

Its as close to luxury you will get at 3800mtrs, theres no running water and no internet but youre on Mont Blanc FFS! The place is as clean as you need it to be for the amount of people that sleep in it!

The hut is quite new and very comfortable. However they had no running water in the toilets and they have no internet. For the price they charge per night. They should have these things. At night, there is people sleeping in the boots room. Not because of a weather problem, but because that is the way they plan their approach...

The refuge is well located and quite new but: - The price is very high - Dinner is very little and simple (and you pay 30eur for it) - The location of my bed was horrible; all the light from outside impacts directly in my eyes what implies only sleeping 1h before climbing mont blanc. It was also too close...

The experience that stood out was the appalling attitude of the warden (at that time Amélie Faure) at arrival. It was like: 'I don't care if you lie down and die'. How come? I arrived late, pretty exhausted after 5 hours and 2000 meters of ascend. One of the reasons was an extra 600 meters of altitude, because the train...

We stayed here in the kind of weather conditions that meant no climbing party made the summit that morning. Nonetheless, we found the staff and facilities to be excellent - given the location, altitude and purpose of the hut. The staff were friendly cheerful helpful and fun and seemed to have a primary objective to help climbers achieve their goals...

Refugio looks like out of this world spaceship on the edge of snowy mountain. It is truly impressive engineering achievement. Inside it has a lot of storage, electricity and comfy beds (for hut). Restaurant is decent and food quality as well as quantity is good. And as in most huts you can get extra portion if super hungry. Dinner is...

Me and my friend booked in advance, which is highly advisable, since if there are no spaces you would pay full price to sleep in the locker room or corridor. We paid €75 each per night. The location itself is excellent - it provides great starting point for ascent of mt blanc. You sleep in the room on bunk bed...

OK, we arrived without a booking as it is imposed by the regulations, since it was an unexpected situation. We've booked on spot a Half Board basis and we've realized that the total amount that we had to pay PER PERSON was €113 (€75 overnight + €26 dinner + €12 breakfast). We've been told by the managers that even if...
