Super pleased with my stay. While my room on the top floor was a funky configuration and small, it was clean and comfortable. The bath was recently remodeled. The location is excellent if you want to be in the center of Chamonix. Good value for money in my opinion.

Visited this hotel as a group of 7 (some of us were in the sister hotel/apartment next door). Rooms are small and basic, but clean. Best thing about this place is the location. Right on the edge of the centre of town, right next to the main gondola (less than 5 minute walk), and 3 minute walk (though the apartments...

Took two twin rooms for a 4 day ski trip with a few friends. The rooms are not big or luxurious but they are perfectly suitable for those with skiing and enjoyment in mind - very clean and functional. Its in a great location, just a short walk from the drag lift to the Brevent gondola and also a short...

Lovely little hotel, the gentleman is lovely and friendly, but the older woman is a bit scary, I am dissabled and she was told but still put us on the top floor, the room was in the eaves and very small, bathroom was also small. There was a shared balcony, the view of the alps is amazing. Short distance to...

Delicious food from a short but very inventive and varied menu. Charming manager and great service. We went for dinner there two nights in a row as we loved the food and atmosphere. Would certainly recommend!

Beautiful wee hotel. Room 10 was great. Was on main street but hardly any noise at all. Had a bedroom with two comfy single beds and a separate room with a settee. TV also which showed UK channels as well as all the usual European ones. WiFi very good. Close to ski hire shop, the town centre, the bus stops...

The "hotel" had been take over by a British weekend ski trip specialist company and was clearly working to a pretty tight budget. We stayed in the back rooms which were run as an "independent" chalet. Good things about this place - it is near the town, very close to a ski-bus stop and has a cheery bar. Not so...

Very friendly staff with a lovely atmosphere. The rooms are great and so is the restaurant. The food is lovely with a good range including a children's menu. It is quite far to the slopes but as the center is busy there is easy transport to the ski resort.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A charming and characterful ski-hotel in the centre of Chamonix, much improved for 2012/13! The hotel is only 2 mins walk to the ski slopes and was partially renovated for the 2012/13 season. It offers excellent value accommodation in the centre of one of France’s most vibrant mountain towns. The hotel has a wonderful sun terrace that looks out on Mont Blanc and gives spectacular views of the mountains and Aguille Midi. Downstairs is an atmospheric boutique-style bar and brasserie in which we serve cakes and afternoon tea and our 3 course evening meals for hotel guests. The Bdn is a very central hotel, located just a stone’s throw from the slopes and lifts that access the popular Brevant and Flegere ski areas. In fact the slopes are less than 2 mins walk away!It is a rare thing indeed for a hotel in Chamonix to be located so close to the slopes, yet so near to the centre of town. This gives our guests the best of both worlds: nearly doorstep skiing and very convenient shopping and aprés ski! ... more   less
