We spent three nights at the Chateau in February, our first visit. It is approached by a long tree lined drive and unlike so many hotels in St Remy there was plenty of parking. From the outside it could do with some refurbishment but inside it is charming and delivers what you would expect. The staff were very helpful and... More

I stayed here around the beginning of October. It is great! It is a beautiful castle and the people are very kind. It is a lot of fun to walk or run in the surrounding countryside and you can read in a nice library on the second floor, which has WiFi. Highly, highly recommended. Matthew Nickson

We stayed on the top floor. Many stairs. We were lucky to have arrived before 6:00 p.m., because the porter appeared to leave at 6:00 p.m promptly. The slight young women who work the desk are left to do porter duty after 6:00. No guest elevator that we ever found. No wifi except in library, and that stuffy, dark room... More

This is the perfect hotel for a romantic weekend or leisurely stay outside of the more touristy St. Remy. The grounds are lovely, the rooms are nicely furnished, and the staff was over-the-top in terms of service. We also ate dinner in the restaurant our first night. The food and service was suburb, and though a little pricey was well... More

I must admit, I had some concerns after reading a particularly bad review. My concerns were not warranted at all! We had a very large room in the second floor with a queen bed and sitting area. Not a water mark or musty smell in the place. The bathroom was huge and the toiletries unopened. Our room overlooked the tree... More

Among our various stays at Chateaus, this was the largest facility of 20 rooms. Most were occupied, but this did not create crowding or excessive noise. The place is very peaceful, with roomy grounds. The room was spacious and very comfortable. And the place is air conditioned. Breakfast was adaquate.

We were on a 17 day trip to France with our 2 daughters (ages 18 and 23) starting in Paris, then had stops in Bordeaux, Lourdes/Pyrenees, Provence and in Nice. Truly a trip of a lifetime and we were very excited to be staying in a Chateau in Provence. We were well into day 8 when we arrived at the... More

I start with the sole demerit which caused me to downgrade Chateau de Roussan -- the lack of reliable useful WiFi. In fact the only place you can get it reliably is in the second floor Library. Other that that the breakfasts are delicious and offer many choices -- they will even cook your eggs to order. And the rooms... More

The hotel is in a pretty area. We made our trip through a travel agent which I would not recommend. You should not get any food at this hotel. Even breakfast was not very good. The fruit was not ripe, the ham was low quality. The bread was good but they did not make that. The coffee was even bad.... More

I will start this review by setting up how my experience began. First, I had no reservations here. In my travels, I often go whichever way the wind blows, thus rarely plan ahead. This has lead to interesting experiences, sure. This one was no exception. When I arrived in this area, I went to the visitor's center first, to use... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Only the XIIIth century could offer such a charming mansion, only 2km away from Saint‐Rémy de Provence. As you’ll slowly walk down the elegant alley of centennial plane trees, you’ll discover the “Château de Roussan”, designed by a brilliant French architect. Enchanted by his creation, he offered it a façade decorated with an elegant balcony overlooked by a majestic front wall; in the manner of a theatre stage set. ... more   less
