The pluses. Location, Price, Stafff The minuses. Dark tiny room I arrived in Marseille after discovering my pocket had been picked at the Gare in Toulouse. Took a deep breath and was ready for the stress and hassle. Coleen at reception was wonderful. She really went out of her way to get me sorted out with directions to bank and...

Just a few minutes walk from the train station this budget hotel had a comfortable bed and plenty of hot water for the shower. The room itself was quite small and the view from the window was into another room. The only real negative was the carpet was dirty and sticky, it really needed a good shampoo. The Breakfast room...

At the foot of the steps leading to the St. Charles train and bus station, and a 15 minute walk to the old port, the hotel is well-located for a city break, with easy connections to transport links, the surrounding area and the airport. Competitively priced, the room was small but comfortable and adequate for our needs. Although overlooking the...

Close to the train station. The rooms are a bit small and the bathrooms are even smaller The breakfast however was spectacular and the staff were pretty friendly and helpful Hotel is a bit far from all the attractive bits of marseille and the walk over there is a bit dodgy

Nestled 1/2 block from St. Charles Train Station, in an old and dirty neighborhood, the Hotel Balladins is new and clean! Our double room is very comfortable with A/C and a convenient lift to our fifth floor room. I liked the amenities of hair dryer and soap dispenser in the shower. Paying the extra $10 for breakfast for two of...

The hotel is just below the steps from the railway station. The street is very busy with a lot of eateries and the Vieux-Port is 10 minutes away. However it was a bit dodgy to walk to the hotel at night as the streets seem very different at that time. Staff is very friendly and breakfast was very substantial.

Clean and cheap hotel no more than 5 minutes walking from city centre or Vieux-Port. Vicinity of St.Georges rail station (beware there´s a very big stairs) with a nice variety of good restaurants and brasseries. The room was very small but OK for a short stay. Free wifi avaliable. Breakfast very tasteful in Ibis style. I reccommend it.

Stayed here for 5 nights while attending a conference at the l'Université d'Aix-Marseille. The rooms and hotel were quite clean and modern, and the staff were friendly. The snacking menu, useful for the night you arrive and don't have time to find somewhere to eat, is not that great as from what I saw is a choice of reheated frozen...
