Stayed here in the summer of 2015. Was a great little hostel that is down the main strip. Its a short walk to the old port and close to lots of amenities near by (little bakery next door). The hostel itself is located in a nice little building. Beds are comfortable - however, there is only one toilet (slight downside;...

Hello Marseille is in a great location in Vieux-Port and very easy to find. The staff was nice-they made coffee in the middle of the day for me when I asked after a bunch of us returned from a long hike. Breakfast was basic, but community dinner was lots of fun, and quite good! My only complaint was that said...

The title says it all. Staff seem nice enough, breakfast is basic but existent (bread, fruit, tea/coffee) and it's in a good location but coming back to that 1 toilet, you wouldn't want to be there when someone's sick.

The location is great -- 5 minutes walk to the old port and 25 minutes walk to the Train Station. The property is at the 4 floor of an old building without elevator. 4 3-bunk-bed dorm rooms, common room and kitchen with dining area. The rooms is simple and a little bit crowd The down side is the whole Hostel...

Perfect! Great staff (it really made the difference in my staying there, people receive you really well and give all the informations that you need), great location (near to the harbor), kitchen equiped with all the utensils needed, bathrooms with brand new hot showers, bedrooms quite confortable and living room with an awesome mood!

The hostel is in a good place - near the center but not in a really loud place. Staff was very nice, helpful and friendly. They explained where to go in Marseille to eat a good meal and see some interesting places. Room was reather clean, kitchen in the place was really well equiped and cosy. The biggest disadvantage was...

The location is nice being in the Vieux Port area. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. The negative aspect is that you have to always climb three steep flights of stairs to access it.

I stayed at this hostel for 2 nights and enjoyed my time. It wasn't the nicest one I have stayed at, but it was clean and the common spaces were good for hanging out. For the price and location, it is a great choice. We made a lot of friends during the community dinner, which was really great. If they...

Nice hostel with friendly and helpful staff. Amazing location! Lovely areas close by to get great views over Marseille, very near to the old port too. Only one bathroom for the whole hostel to share though which was a slight downside. Wifi was good though and they had a kitchen and also offered cooked meals. Would stay again :)

The hostel is actually someone's house. It was my first experience staying at a hostel and I was quite depressed when I saw it for the first time. It wasn't clean. But the staff is really nice. I loved the living room area where we could talk to others and meet so many people. The staff cooked dinner for 5...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hello Marseille Hostel is located in a safe area in the very center of Marseille, the "Vieux Port". Our HostelHello Marseille is a brand new concept in town. We opened May 13rd 2010 in fully renovated facilities within a charming typical 19th century Haussmanian building (marble floor, high ceiling with nice mouldings, large rooms). Note: Beware, we are a backpackers hostel ...On the third floor, no lift. So to our great regret, our hostel is unfortunately not convenient for - disabled persons or persons with limited physical abilities - minors under 18, even if travelling with elders. ... more   less
