amazing place, breathtaking views. Goats all around you. Fresh goat cheese, cured meat, red wine and sangria for a wonderful evening ... ideal for large parties and families

We visited on a sunny, very windy day so the promised anals had gone into hiding. However we had a fabulous lunch and enjoyed the spectacular views. I think you could do some fabulous walks from here but we had small children with us and so just enjoyed playing in the meadow.

We stayed at La Ferme du Castelas a few weeks ago and it was the highlight of our trip! Such an amazing property and wonderful host. Very quite and peaceful. We found our room to be quite large and tidy. The food was excellent and plentiful. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for something special off the beaten path...

We went in August for lunch at the suggestion of a friend, who had been before. We thought we had accurate directions, but ended ringing this friend for help. The farm is at the end of a dirt road, eroded by rains and quite rough. We were later than we intended but had a delicious lunch which was finished by...

Have been to Le Castelas four or five times and have the most amazing memories of it. High up with the stunning views west across the Luberon. Wonderful atmosphere, particularly at sunset. Fantastic farm food with loads of wine, eaten at long communal wooden tables surrounded by animals who mill around and graze in the fields.Take woollens if you are...

This is quite simple. If you are fond of: Goats Dogs Pigs Landscape The rustic life adventure surprise Hearty food Asterix ......then you MUST go. If your priority is: Starched linen Fine wines A waiter at the elbow a la carte air conditioning clean carpets .....then you should NOT GO.

Do not expect white table cloths or waiters in tuxedos. This is a farm experience. You will drive down a long, windy road and feel like you're lost, but when you get to the end, you arrive a the farm. Its very picturesque with goats wandering around. The food is all local and quite good. The cheese served at the...

We visited La Ferme du Castelas on June 13 for lunch. After having read other reviews discussing whether tomgomfor dinner or lunch, I emailed the farm and asked to have the 30 Euro menu rather than the assorted tastings that others said were served to them. They wiilingly obliged and we were rewarded! We arrived to an empty place, but...

Our guidebook recommended Ferme Castelas under the heading: "Live a Dream," which is the most appropriate phrase I can think of for our meal here. Eating here is a surreal experience. First, there is the drive. You will climb to a remote corner of the Luberon, passing through a mid-size village (Apt) to a small village (Saignon) to a much...

Ferme Auberge, Le Castelas, Sivergues We read about this in our guide book. The description of having to travel on dirt roads nearly put us off but we need not have worried. Head to the tiny two building town of Sivergues, and follow the signs. While the dirt roads were a little rough our standard rental car had no problem...
