we stayed 2 nights in vence, at the la victoire. accommodations were basic but clean and comfortable and bargain-priced. the [relatively new] owners [since 2007] had put in air conditioning [not needed in march], very effective sound-insulating double glazed windows [we looked out over a square with cafes, foot traffic, etc], and new beds [quite comfortable]. during our stay, they...

Located next to the old city, La Victoire is clean, quiet and a pleasant place to stay to tour Vence and the surrounding area. Both personable and professional, owners of the hotel, Pierre and Natalie, were a great resource in providing information about the Vence area and pointing to us an excellent nearby restaurant. Parking was just across the Place...

The hotel is right in the middle of Vence, just outside the historical center city. The hotel is on a busy corner over restaurants, but the area quiets down later in the evening. The room is modest but comfortable, as is the bathroom. The modest price compensates for the lack of more plush amenities. The hosts, Nathalie and Pierre, are...

We stayed here for four nights . The hotel is clean and the rooms are a little small but quite adequate. The shower rooms could do with updating but, after talking to the owners I am sure this is part of their plans for the future. Our room looked over the main square which is full of cafes, bars and...

I can only agree wholeheartedly with the other five star reviews. This is easily the friendliest hotel we have stayed at in a very long while. The owners speak excellent English and are both charming and extremely helpful. Vence is a great place to stay, with good bus services to Nice and nearby towns. The Victoire is situated very close...

This hotel is a hidden gem. Discreetly tucked away in the corner of a busy main square, it is seconds away from the beautiful walled old part of the city, and only a ten minute walk from the main bus station. Everything that has been written about the special touch Natalie and Pierre bring to the hotel (which drew me...

My husband and I arrived in Vence after spending a week in Cannes on business. We were looking forward to a couple of quiet days together before going home and we were not disappointed. The room was clean, quiet, and bright and overlooked a small park. In the morning you can buy fresh fruit and veggies from local farmers. The...

Medium sized hotel just a few meters from the old city walls. Natalie and her husband, Pierre were most helpful with suggestions and went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable. While the hotel is located on the main square and above a busy restaurant, the double glazing worked a treat, and our room was amazingly...

This is a small hotel with quiet rooms and very comfy beds. Excellent value breakfast, free wi-fi internet and good car parking in the nearby underground car park which the hotel gets you a discount on. The best part though is the friendliness of Nathalie and Pierre who own the hotel and did everything to make our stay as pleasant...

Definitely recommend a stay here if you want to be close to the old Town of Vence (which is gorgeous). Also a short walk to Matisee's chapel and buses to get to St Paul de Vence and the coast. The hosts were so welcoming. I arrived several hours before check-in but that was no problem at all. Rooms are basic...
