The host is extremely personable, helpful, knowledgable. Excellent breakfast with unusual homemade cakes, including savory flavors. Right in the center of Avignon, too: ideal location. The host's father was in the breakfast room when we ate, and we had a good conversation with him also. Generally one of the warmest, more cordial hotels I've been in in France.

Reserved this for my parents and our 10 year. They quite enjoyed it. Owners very pleasant. Hotel conveniently situated, close to the train station and everything you'd like to visit. Very good deal for the cost.

I booked this hotel for one night and it is very well located: In the center of the city and close to everything. They don’t have parking (since they are located in pedestrian only area) but they give you a 20% discount for the parking at Palais de Papes. Once you are there you won’t need a car, you can...

This was the first time we booked a hotel directly through Trip Advisor, and everything worked perfectly. The owners emailed us prior to arrival with directions, and helped with a couple of suggestions via email. Upon arrival Emmanuelle asked a few questions then provided a map with museum and restaurant suggestions clearly marked. The room was small by US standards,...

We chose this based on TA ranking and was not disappointed. We took the Provence bus from Aix and it dropped us at a south gate, 900m walk to the hotel. Roads were under repair for part of the way. Rooms are comfortable and large separate toilet and small bath. All very clean and soap etc provided. We did not...

This little gem is tucked away on a quiet pedestrian street in the heart of old Avignon. The room was pleasant and well-appointed, but what made this hotel special was the personal service, assistance, and attention to detail from the couple who run it and take such a pride in its success. Particular mention must be made of the outstanding...

This is an absolutely wonderful hotel. It's perfectly situated in the centre of Avignon within a very short walk of lots of great attractions & restaurants - despite this as the hotel is down a lovely cobbled road you can have a wonderful & peaceful night sleep. The room & bathroom were perfectly clean & the bed so comfortable. I...

Had a nice two night stay. Clean, comfortable room with window overlooking a quiet street a block off the main boulevard. The owner was very friendly and helpful, especially in resolving a multiple booking issue. He also provided wine glasses and some ice for some pain relief to an injured foot and gave some good local recommendations. The only cautionary...

What can we say.. the property is wonderful, location is primo, like staying in a private home. Best part about the stay? The hosts. Very nice, very knowledgeable, very gracious. When we return to Avignon, we will stay at the Hotel de Garlande and you should, too.
