Hotel Calendal is a nice, informal (not fancy) place, in a good location. The lobby is bright and airy with a small sidewalk cafe and a very nice interior courtyard. The hotel has a restaurant (separate from the cafe) that serves a nice Provencal lunch in the courtyard attracts locals. The staff was polite and helpful (people at the desk...

A quick visit to Arles...a wonderful place to follow Van Gogh's footsteps. Hotel service was great assisting happily when required. Reception gave us a local restaurant suggestion list (a great help) & pointed out free parking spaces right around corner from property. Our room was very small, but clean, neat & tidy...ample for our one night stay. The hotels outdoor...

I'd booked this based on online reviews and we were happy we did. The location is incredible - in front of the Roman amphitheatre and around the corner from the forum. The hotel was very welcoming, our room #33 was perfect. Not huge, but fine. The interesting thing here is the courtyard restaurant sheltered by a huge tree that is...

downstairs is a modern internet cafe with (overpriced) cafe fodder and tables overlooking the ampitheatre. Upstairs the room itself was basic (although more roomy than some we'd stayed in in the area for a similar price) but it has a modern batheroon which after a days hard cycle to get there was worth the trade off - for this price...

We only had one night at The Calendal but it was lovely. We had just finished a river cruise of Burgundy and Provence and needed a relaxing night to collect our thoughts before heading to Marseille. Our room was not ready when we arrived but they held our luggage while we explored the town further. On our return our huge...

I'm at the hotel as I type. It is a room for a solo traveler & my room is tiny, dirty - smells musty and I found a bug in the bathroom others have reported bugs in their room too. I wanted to enjoy a comfortable room where I could get rest and instead I'm afraid to get under the...

We stayed at Hotel Le Calendal for two nights. The morning we were to leave, we discovered that our rental car (which was parked behind the hotel since the parking lot was closed) had a dead battery. The car was a Mercedes with all its parts hidden under cover, so normal people couldn't access the battery to attach jumper cables....

Excellent location in Arles. It was comfortable, clean, affordable, spacious, and a very, very friendly staff. It will be my first choice when I return to Arles.

Located near the famous Arles Amphitheatre (a kind of small coliseum), Le Calendal is a quiet place with a romantic atmosphere. The breakfast is very tasty and with a good variety, specially of french chesse. In fact, I've been there in 2006, but this option wasn't available to select.
