In the centre of medieval and Roman Arles lies this elderly hotel with parts of the Roman Forum within its structure. All the tourist sites and dozens of cafes and restaurants are within 10 minutes walk. The flip side is its a nightmare to get to in a car and parking is very limited and needs booking in advance. Breakfast...

This gem is located on a central Arles square, kitty corner to the yellow cafe made famous by Vincent Van Gogh! Tired from travel, we were greeted a by an elegant and beautiful, grey haired woman who spoke such lovely English it made you forget to feel bad about not be able to speak French. Our room was cool and...

We stayed only for one night, but the pleasure of enjoying such a beautiful and stylish place was great! We had been offered a family suite with a lot of space, great furnitures and amazing rest room. The Hotel is in the main (and a bit touristic) square of beautiful Arles, so fantastically located, bar is amazing at night. Breakfast...

The only positive thing I have to say about this hotel is the location! The hotel is sold on its background, of its past visitors and associated history; and to come for the salon and bar and the romance; however when we were there the bar and the salon were not in use, and were empty the whole time (July!)...

The Grand Hôtel Nord-Pinus is located right in the center of the old Arles, which makes it easy to reach most interesting places on foot, but very tricky to get there by car: Arles roads can be very narrow and crowded. Parking in front of the hotel is impossible, even loading and unloading is difficult, but the hotel offers a...

Nice hotel with a great location right in the square. Easy walking to all tourist spots and the Saturday Market. Staff was friendly and helpful. Interesting historical hotel. We were upgraded to a spacious top floor suite. Only issue was the LITTLE step down from the bed level to the bathroom/entry level. Could be a safety issue. Some lighting would...

The perfect mix of past meets the present -- doesn't dwell on the past but you can feel it in the building, you know it's there -- it's very very credible, but at the same time has everything you need for a wonderful contemporary stay -- wonderful bathrooms, super decor, great art and photography on the walls. On check in...

I booked a two night stay in July for this hotel through Travelocity and it was confirmed. A day later, the hotel called me directly and said there was no room for me and that they could not homor the reservation. If I wanted to stay there the rate would be 470 Euro a night instead of 242 Euros a...

The Grand Hotel Nord Pinus is the most richly historic hotel in Arles. Artists, writers and fighters have all graced it for over 100 years. But more than that, it is a fantastic, contemporary retreat, located bang in the centre of historic Arles. The styling is ‘mid-century modern meets bullfighting’. An abundance of historic bullfighting posters line the stairwell. The...
