We recently spent 03/09 to 10/09 staying at Les Muguets hosted by Jacky B in La Rochelle. The property is traditionally furnished, is clean and well maintained and is perfectly located for accessing the centre of La Rochelle. Despite arriving late due to a delayed flight we were collected from the airport by Jacky who also kindly offered to take us back at the end of our stay. Although our property was attached to the owners we were given the run of the garden and were encouraged to help ourselves to the tomatoes growing etc.
There are local shops close by, bakery, butchers, cafe & small supermarket and the town centre with restaurants, the old port and the beach is only a 10 minute walk away.
We had a wonderful week here and would recommend staying here to anyone, the photos do not do it justice.

Stayed 3 nights in February and asked for quiet room - 3rd floor at rear of hotel very quiet and slept with window open without problem. Breakfast adequate, room clean and modern with towels changed daily. quality and desk only staffed at certain times but can book in at Kyriad next door. Will stay again next week.

Very convenient place. I personnaly do not enjoy the health restriction and the lack of freedom when moving in the hotel. Just hope it won't last long. However I appreciate that the room is not visited on a daily basis due to the same heatl restriction!

Booked a room with the hotel specifically requesting a quiet room. Was given room 222 on the second floor which overlooks a disco on the opposite side of the street. The noise from the Disco started at around 11.30pm and continued into the small hours of the morning.
Perhaps the management of that hotel could explain why I was given such a noisy room when a quiet one was requested.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as part of a driving tour. We selected it because it was in a good location with a secure on site car park (not all centrally located hotels do).
The hotel is great value for money. It was the least expensive that we stayed in and there were signs that this was the case but there are many positives.
The reception is not 24 hour but late arrivals can use reception at the hotel next door. Breakfast is basic but adequate. There is no bar area but there is a coffee machine with tables and chairs in reception. The rooms are small but clean and air conditioned
So if you are looking for a well located hotel with a secure car park that won't break the bank, this could be for you!

Breakfast is horrible. Not even a croissant or bread. Sooo poor
Toilet is dirty. We had just a towel. There's only body soap.
No bed tables and sockets far from bed
Elevator does not work well plus is so slow
Parking smelt like puke and was very dirty
On the other hand bed was quite comfortable

Good hotel with excellent location close to town center and Encan congress center.
The rooms are clean and well equipped. I had a room on the coutyard side, which was quiet.
The breakfasts were good.

A bit far from the center and the railroad station. No amenities. Very clean, good bed, simple breakfast but ok for price. Nice staff, yet not too well informed of touristic tips (bus prices and timetables, distances, etc)

Stayed here for one night in a triple room. Very clean, excellent location; 10 minute stroll to centre 5 minutes to aquarium , secure parking available for free. Rooms are modern and well fitted out for a budget option. Breakfast is available at extra charge but we didn't avail of this. Plenty of restaurants and large cinema within 100 meters of hotel.

Very basic but clean and served our needs before going on to our proper holiday accommodation. Breakfast good and Pizza restaurant next door excellent. We would stay again. About 20 euros from airport in taxi and 20 minute walk into the shopping streets of La Rochelle.
