This accommodation was part of our 2700kms tandem cycling holiday through France. The hotel is bike-friendly with a secure garage provided to 'house' our tandem bicycle overnight. The receptionist was friendly and attentive. Our room was compact, light and clean with a comfortable queen-sized bed, small desk and TV. The ensuite had a shower over a bath - which was...

We stayed here 2 weeks ago as part of our honeymoon travelling round France. The hotel is very clean and facilities were good. Our stay however was made by the lovely lady who worked on reception. She was so friendly and helpful and really made us feel welcome. We were given the only room with a balcony and it was...

Across the street from the train station, which is what we wanted as we were only spending one night in Angers before heading out on a road trip of the Loire. Excellent and attentive staff. We had trouble understanding the wifi and they took their time to explain it all to us without seeming put out of place. Only a...

Stayed at this hotel while on a Coach Tour. The Hotel is near the SNCF station and not the centre ville. Good sized, quiet room without AC. The staff seemed helpful and the included breakfast was fine.

I have read all the reviews and feel like I'm being harsh, but I really couldn't see what the fuss was about. It is situated right in from of the station which can be very useful. True, you can park in the station car park for 1 euro if you are out by 9. The room we had was quit...

Booked to stay here on a cycling trip from the UK. The friendly staff could not do enough to help and ensured an excellent stay. The rooms are good but not fantastic (bathrooms looking slightly dated) but a very high standard of cleanliness and an excellent continental breakfast in pleasant surroundings. Will definitely stay here again.

Very pleasantly surprised by this hotel, conveniently located near the train station and a short walk into Angers Centre and Chateau. We had room 108 which had its own terrace with table and chairs. The hosts were polite and happy to help us with any queries..indeed they were happy to provide us with bikes to use (free of charge) to...

This hotel was conveniently located across the street from the train station, and yet quiet. Angers is charming and compact, and all the attractions are easily reached from the hotel. In addition to the obvious tourist spots (castle, cathedral, museum of fine arts), one can enjoy a pleasant stroll on a footpath, heading South between the Maine river and the...

We paid 55 euro for a double for a night in this attractive hotel, right across from the train station. It was clean and comfortable, and we slept extra well in the bed. The shower was hot and there was free-fast!-WiFi. The helpful staff allowed us to leave our bags after check out. There were bakeries just outside the hotel...

We stayed 3 nights in the Hotel du Progres. The room was not big, the bed was very comfortable, the bedroom was clean. The cupboard was a bit small to put your clothes if you stay a few days. No mini fridge in the bedroom but the hotel has a small bar with fair prices. As other reviewers have said,...
