What a pure delight! We stayed midweek and there were few other guests. Incredibly relaxing, absolutely great food, calm and relaxing on Le Loir. Madam's attention to detail carries over to her staff. Eating in either the formal dining room or the terrace is a special treat. They upgraded our room (and that of our traveling companions), laundry service impeccable...

We used Chateau Noirieux as our base for the race. It was an ideal location just under an hour to Le Mans and only a 15 minute drive to the A11 motorway. We chose one of the smaller rooms on the second floor of the chateau and it was ideal for our stay. A very comfortable bed and a good...

This was by far my best chateau in the Loire Valley. Sadly there is no 6 stars review possible in Trip Advisor. The customer service is just flawless and unnatural. The dinner menu for 30 euros has 3 plates and is delicious. The view from the hotel and restaurants seem like taken in a movie. It's a bit pricey but...

Excellent stay - the 4th floor Superior room (no elevator!) has all of the quality and character expected from a medieval buildling, plus great view of the courtyard. The 1 star Michelin restaurant was very good.

We were travelling from Cherbourg to Bordeaux with our two small terriers and needed a pet friendly hotel about half way, and as we are big fans of Relais and Chateaux hotels, we decided to try Noirieux. What a delight. Stunning well-maintained property which delights the eye immediately on arrival. The grounds are large and interesting, with enough rabbits to...

A wonderful area and place to stay. Always welcoming and the food and comfort is excellent and very French. It is in a very interesting wine area and Angers and the Loire has much to offer. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

This is a beautifully situated hotel overlooking "Le Loir", (cf La Loire), in a lovely park. There is a large pool and even a private chapel - ?to repent for over eating! The welcome is outstanding and M and Mde Come are terrific hosts. They have been here now for almost 25 years and we had the great honour of...

An absolutaely amazing ancient mansion overlooking Loire. The hotel is surrounded by chestnut and walnut trees. We were there in October and the trees had all colours one can imagine. The rooms are spacious and quite. We booked late arrival and were offered a cold plate to be served to the room which was delicious. This is exactly what you...

I wish I could live here here. It was thorough spoiling from the moment we arrived. Our room on the ground floor of the Manoir was spacious and very comfortable. The lighting was slightly strange making it difficult to see when getting dressed for dinner. Normally I wouldn't mind very much but since it was a special occasion and place...

We stayed for one night on our way to Paris. It's a beautiful property with a lovely chapel and nice pool. There is a comfortable sitting area with a fireplace where we had a drink before dinner. The room was nice, not the best we've ever stayed in. But I can't give it 5 stars because the staff says all...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Lying at the heart of a 9-hectare estate composed of magnificent one-hundred- and two-hundred-year-old trees, cradled in the scents of the domain's walnut, cedar and linden trees, the Château de Noirieux is an exceptional Relais & Châteaux hotel that offers a setting of greenery as far as the eye can see. Fifteen kilometres from Angers, in Briollay, this patrician residence reveals an elegant classical façade in freestone overlooking the Loir valley. The rooms offering 4-star comfort are in the Louis XVI, Louis XV and Louis XIII style at the Chateau. Its 15th-century Manor houses pretty rooms in a Rustic style with view over the grounds. In terms of cuisine, our Michelin-starred chef invites to his table and endeavours to show off in their best light the jewels of the terroir of French Riviera and northern Italy through a cuisine at once traditional and contemporary, full of flavour to satisfy the most discerning palate. The excellence of the product is exploited according to his tastes, his expertise and his passing whims. ... more   less
