Wonderful B&B with a charming host, Aminata, who made us feel very welcome and booked a last minute table for us for dinner and gave us bread for our picnic! She was perfect in every way. Delicious coffee and pastries for breakfast with home-made jams in the quirky/kitsch/shabby chic boulangerie downstairs and very clean and comfortable bedrooms with plenty of...

A fab little B&B just 10 minutes walk from the center of Rouen. Aminata was waiting for us to show us where to park. Our room was at the top of a spiral creaky staircase and is scrupulously clean. The bathroom area is not for those who are modest - behind a net curtain and with a shower that is...

5 of us stayed with Aminata in July 2016. Gorgeous place to stay and how accommodating she was. Breakfast in the shop was idyllic and hey guess what? She even popped to the shops for us, before we departed on the Wednesday. Beautiful person and the rooms were spotless, comfortable (there was even a docking station to charge your mobile...

We stayed in Aminata's quirky and lovely B&B in mid/late June. Very atmospheric situation- great medieval type feel to surrounding houses and streets. Aminata's English was perfect , but she was happy to humour me in my attempts with rusty schoolgirl French. Full of good advice. Great having somewhere to park (arranged with Aminata in advance), so could drive easily...

Aminata Diallo, the owner, was most hospitable to the three of us, even carrying our luggage up the flight of stairs. She provided parking for us as well. A consummate host in all regards and WHAT a sumptuous breakfast. Think I gained weight. The family room, suite, was more than adequate for the three of us with the two rooms....

La boulangerie is adorable! Is a timber house very close to the main attraction of Rouen with a friendly host, Aminata that is always read to help and prepare a good breakfast in french style and you also can take some for your day! She is always with a smile and read to tell you were to go and the...

It is an extremely cozy place to stay. The owner is really nice!! Rooms are clean and decorated in a very original way. Breakfast is served inside the boulangerie. 10 mins walking from the heart of the city.

Lovely quirky place to stay. Aminata was very helpful and friendly. She insisted on carrying our three cases right up to the room on the second floor. We stayed in the room 'Croissant' which is dual aspect with three windows so you get a through breeze. The bed was comfortable which is important to me. The breakfast was very good...

My boyfriend & I stayed for 1 night in the apartment of "La Boulangerie". It's not super fancy but decent, super authentic and the bed was really good. The lady of the house was genuinenly friendly when welcoming us. Best way to describe the breakfast (which is in a very cute setting of an old bakery :)) is honest: baguette...

Vertical, ancient, quirky, central, wooden, narrow, parking (arrange in advance), history, old town, quiet, breads, jams, odd, safe. Your slender, yet larger than life hostess will carry the weightiest suitcase up flights of steep, winding stairs (and down again. This is how she 'makes her sport', i.e. keeps fit).

“If you have physical issues with stairs it may be a concern… access to rooms is via a steep, narrow spiral staircase. All the rooms are good.. but the one we selected I think was best.. it's on the street side corner at the very top.”
