3rd time we've been here we stayed in garden room with our dog it was lovely. Family also came and stayed. Bed comfortable. Food couldn't be faulted and staff more than helpful. It's as near as all inclusive as you could get. Are gonna book for next year.

Nice little place out of the town if rye. Bedrooms were basic but nice and clean, shower basic but worked ok. Beds nice and comfy. Only had breakfast. Ok but bacon a bit tough but otherwise for paying £40 for a night you cant go wrong really. If you want 4 or 5 star this aint it but its definately...

We have just stayed here for 3 nights, meeting up with family staying nearby. The location was ideal as we could walk into Rye-about 20 minutes, hilly but good path all the way. The facilities at the Inn were all that we needed-a good freshly prepared hot breakfast, clean room and water, tea and coffee making facilities in the room. There...

First impression is of a delightfully quirky building in a lovely location. The actuality does not disappoint. The staff were unfailingly friendly & helpful. The only mild drawback was that we were booked into a room in the annexe attached to the main building. It was perfectly adequate, nicely decorated, cosy and comfortable; the slight downside was that (due, obviously,...

There seem to be very mixed reviews for this hotel, but I'm afraid our experience was not a happy one. We chose a 'garden room' - that is, with a window overlooking the rampant jungle. The place seemed flimsily built and cheaply furnished in a 60's holiday camp fashion. Paper-thin walls, grotty carpet and a not-very comfortable bed we could...

Ok, so I accept we were staying in the budget room (£90ish a night), but there are certain things that I do expect. Starting with the positives, the area is lovely, beautiful and you can easily walk into rye, rye harbour and some great restaurants - the Kings head, the globe on the marsh. The negatives are generally around the...

I took my girlfriend there for a birthday treat, great looking hotel with some history. We were going to eat out but after phoning around a lot of places were quite busy and to be honest this little restaurant in the hotel looked quaint, we were sat in one of the 'turrets' We had the prawns, huge and good value,...

Just been for a lunch and very disappointed. My husband ordered steak and asked for medium and come back well done. The jacket potato ordered was hard! The cheese baguette they just broke off huge slabs of cheese. Not even cut nicely. The mash was hard. I cold go on. No one came to ask how our meal was.

What a lovely, lovely host. We popped in after a walk, from providing us with water for the dogs to telling my daughter the French custom of making a wish with the last drop of prosecco nothing was too much trouble. The sheer amount of prawns in the baguette was amazing, I am glad we shared. The quality of the...

3 night stay whilst in area on business . Staff very friendly , food good home cooking and plenty of it. Decor and fittings are very tired and overall a bit scruffy. If you dont mind the decor and looking for somewhere down to earth and friendly with good portions without a great deal of fancy frills then this is...
