We stopped just the one night on our trip through France but would have loved to stay longer. The welcome was out standing, when we arrived we where served some delight drinks and nibbles in the garden. The house is full of charm and has clearly had some significant restoration work. Making for a unique and very comfortable venue. A...

An 18th Century style Manor House amid apple trees, in the middle of nowhere but less tax a mile from fabulous Giverny Museum and Monet Garden. High above Giverny, all surrounded by forests, La reserve is as quiet as quiet can be. No street lights around, enabling to enjoy starlit heroines the way it was before. Large rooms are 18th...

We were travelling back from the alps and stopped off for a night in Giverny to visit Claude Monet's house and gardens. We were late arriving, but even so, Valerie gave us a warm welcome and treated us to some lovely home made cider in her beautiful garden. Our room was beautiful, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was gorgeous...

We were made most welcome by Valerie despite our tardy arrival, with delicious homemade cider. What a beautiful house to stay in, with very tasteful surroundings in our bedroom and all the public rooms. Most comfortable and homely. Breakfast was splendid and had a great variety of homemade produce. We were only sorry that we could only stay one night...

My 7 days at La Reserve were fantastic. The house, grounds and hosts were beyond expectations. It was a relaxing week in a homelike atmosphere. The meals were superb and served with such elegance. The 12 of us at a painting workshop were treated to an unforgettable experience. Madame & her husband were quick to anticipate our every need. I...

La Reserve is a wonderful place to stay in Giverny. It is set high on a hilltop above the town in a peaceful setting. It is only 1.5 miles from town but it feels far from the crowds of Giverny. The host Valerie is genuinely kind and sincere as is her husband Francois. Valerie immediately made us feel at home and...

Madame Jouyet made us totally welcome. A haven away from the bustle of Giverny, but only a 5 minute drive Our dogs were made welcome too, tolerated by Flaubert, the magnificent Leonberger. Donkeys, chickens and an excitable pig completed the entourage. A homemade cider and cake welcome set us at ease after being shown the Portrait room. Three nights of...

Wonderful relaxing stay with our two daughters (18 month and 3 years) in the self contained cottage in the grounds of La Reserve. We had a week to explore Monet's Gardens (spring bulbs were breathtaking), Rouen, Domaine du Villarceaux, and popped to Paris for a day on the train from Vernon. The cottage has everything you need, gorgeous big dining...

I searched for many months, pouring over hundreds of chateaus, castles, boutique hotels online (and a couple even in person) to find the right place to host a women's retreat in France. My business requires yhat I find the best accommodations all around the world for the women I serve. Once I found La Reserve and communicated with Valerie, I...
