A fabulous two night stay in this wonderful guesthouse. We had a groundfloor room so able to drive the car right to the door to offload luggage. Large comfortable room, beautifully furnished in antiques, yet modern large bathroom (2 basins a plus). Couldn't believe it when we stepped out of the gates and there was the magnificent Cathedral at our...

We stayed at Hotel Tardif last fall. We didn't realize it was a B&B when we booked and aren't B&B people, but really enjoyed our stay. Anthony was a helpful, friendly host, and his dog, Atlas, was a real sweetie. We would've missed seeing William the Conqueror's castle, which we thought was really neat, if Anthony hadn't asked us about...

Stayed at this B& B. It should not have hotel in its title. Gentleman who ran the place had bad temper. Constantly reprimanding our group for not following his directions, which were vague. I ask for a wake up call. He informed me that this was a home not a hotel. Rude. He had told me to put my bags...

Dear Madam, It's always a shame when people simply summarize a story with negative things to report only, and totally forget positive ones. It's true that things didn't start well... You had booked online, through a famous reservation website, 3 DOUBLE rooms for 6 people and were of course given 3 Double rooms. You arrived as 5 people instead of...

Fantastic location! Gated parking practically next door to the tapestry exhibition. The hotel is very welcoming -- as is the host, who speaks perfect English. Of course, the town is within walking distance, so you can park your car and forget it -- if you want to! The room was very comfortable and very clean. We only had 2 nights...

Beautifully maintained and comfortable rooms. This quiet B&B is centrally located around the corner from the church and a block from the center walking street/main street of town. The owner and attendant of the hotel is super accommodating and makes a great quiche for breakfast. Other than the pipes "banging" in the middle of the night when you flush the...

My family and I stayed at this lovely converted guesthouse for two nights. We rented a two bedroom/one bath apartment. Anthony made us feel right at home. He provided a crib for my 2 year old nephew (even though I forgot to call ahead) and allowed us to keep our luggage at the hotel while we toured the D Day...

Dear Ali, Thank you for sharing your Norman experience with TripAdvisor members. It was our pleasure to make our property your home for the 3 days you had in Bayeux. Have no worries about the kids. They did not disturb anybody here. It's also very important for us to know that not only adults but too kids are having a...

I stayed in a single room in late February for two nights. I was travelling alone and felt completely safe. The room was amazing, I felt welcomed immediately by Anthony and shown around. My bed was a chaise-longue, fabulous! Such a lot for so little money. I paid 55 Euros a night. The hotel is a few steps from the...

We've just returned from a fantastic 3 nights stay in the 2 bedroom suite. The website looked very promising but this surpassed all expectations - elegant and spacious accommodation (our 2 rooms have been redecorated beautifully since the website photos were taken) and a really delightful host in Anthony. The location is spot on - a stunning town mansion, peaceful...

My husband and I spent 3 days in Bayeux. We chose this hotel because of location, price and availability. We were delightfully surprised. Anthony, who is the proprietor speaks perfect English and takes pride in his guesthouse. Every room was beautifully decorated. It's an old property, but kept up magnificantly. The bathroom was sparkling clean, the heating worked well and...

Upon entering the courtyard, we knew this was a special place. The home is exquisite. Decorated so beautifully. We stayed in the 2 bedroom 1 bath suite with our 2 teenage boys. Very quiet and peaceful. Location was perfect. just a couple of blocks from the main street and down the street from the Tapestry and the the Cathedral. The...
