Just spent 3 night here and had a wonderful stay. Great rooms, good breakfast, adjoining restaurant was very good for a hotel restaurant. Bar seating area with fireplace. Met some people from War College who came because It was Ike's favorite hotel Would highly recommend it. Good location for the beaches and several good restaurants within a couple of blocks

What a lovely comfortable hotel. Staff are very helpful and has a good restaurant. It is in axcellent location and the open fire in the lounge was great after a day out visiting the landing beaches. I will definitely be staying there next time I am in Bayeux. Didn't want to leave!

The hotel was clean and beautifully decorated, the staff was very courteous and helpful and eager to please. Our room was large and very comfortable, and the daily service was great. The location was very good - right in the center of town - we did not have far to walk to go to bars, restaurants, shops, etc. The restaurant...

This is where Ike stayed when he came through Normandy, and later on as well. It is elegant and classy with a killer restaurant that has lots of options. Staff was personable. The location is right in the heart of Bayeux, with walking to anywhere.

We stayed fro 2 nights recently for a side trip from Paris. The hotel was charming. We walked from the train station and it is right in the middle of town. The lobby and first floor common area are very nice and well-appointed. There are signed pictures of statesmen and celebrities who have visited the hotel in the common room,...

Traveled with a group of 40. Hotel was very accommodating. We ate night meals in the dining room. Chef prepared fantastic meals and wait staff was friendly and energetic, very willing to please. Room overlooked the courtyard with flowers in window box. Easy walking down spiral stairs as room was on the first floor. The lounge where WWII generals met...

Easy to hit any direction with your car and all walking distance in Bayeux. Always a nice soft attention from staff regardless of reason, friendly and taking care of spirit. Rooms where nice, we stayed...

We took our two grown sons, our daughter-in-law, and grandchildren to Normandy during Easter vacation. We spent 3 nights at Hotel Le Lion d'Or in Bayeux. It was a perfect place for our family. The rooms were very comfortable and we were able to book rooms with extra beds to accommodate our grandchildren. The location couldn't have been better. Also...

We stayed here for 4 nights, and this was an excellent choice. Road construction made it a little difficult to get to but we made it. Call ahead for parking as it is limited but secure. Just a wonderful place to stay be sure to visit the bar to see the noted past visitors and have a relaxing aperitif.

We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious room and large bathroom. Reserve a parking space ahead of time and a sign will indicate your space. The restaurant was amazing too- best meal of our week-long trip to France.
