Lovely, secluded, peaceful boutique hotel in pretty surroundings. Was perfect for down time. Loved that the hotel came with 2 cute doggies. Would thoroughly recommend to friends and return if it wasn't being sold. Happy retirement!

I stayed here for one night during a cycling holiday when I really needed to relax. It was ideal. Of all the hotels I've stayed in on this tour, this is so far the most home-like: it's run as if it's an extension of a home and it has the comfort of being at home. The decor is charming throughout...

This family house is a small charming hotel, not far from the center if not afraid to walk a little. If not, the tube is not far away. "La Halle aux Grains", a famous concert hall, is 3 mn away and the Botanical Gardens are a little further. The access to the Capitole is easy along with many museums (Hotel...

I agree with other reviews in that the hotel is in a quieter residential neighbourhood, but it takes no time at all to walk to city center. The building is an elegant old house, full of beauty and charm, as are the owners. The owner welcomed us with grace and humour, and was quite helpful with our questions concerning what...

This is more like an elegant B&B than a hotel as it's in a house in a residential area. The owners were very charming and welcoming; the decor was beautiful and very French. My room (#4) was small but pretty with a very large bathroom with a great shower. The windows opened all the way, and looked onto the back...

This hotel was a lovely find. We stayed here with our children on the top floor - the attic rooms. Both rooms were large and although ours had the slanted ceiling, this was not an issue. In fact, I loved the heavy wooden beams. The hotel is beautifully decorated, very clean, comfortable, quiet and very charming. The location is very...

During my six week trip through Europe, this was one of my worst hotel stays. I had to walk up to the third floor, with luggage. Normally, this would not be an issue. However, the last flight of stairs was so narrow and steep that it scared me to ascend and descend the steps. The ceiling of the room was...

A wonderful time hotel. The rooms on the first floor (especially rooms one, two and three) have full-length windows and small wrought-iron balconies. The whole place is beautifully decorated and the room we stayed in (we were upgraded to a junior suite without asking) had a huge original marble fireplace and generously sized bathroom with both shower and bath. The...

Air con most welcome after a sticky week of hot weather. Room up on 2nd floor, 2 velux windows in the roof, tastefully decorated room, comfortable, large bed. Yes the stairs are steep and no lift, I suspect they are the house's original stairs. Bathroom a good size and modern. No stand up shower, but I suspect this was because...

Le Clos de Poitiers, run by owners M et Mme Faux at their mansion of a home, is a bed-and-breakfast rather than a hotel. The building itself has been decorated quite stylishly in a fin-de-siecle sort of way, while the rooms have individual decor. We were (sliently) upgraded to a triple room in the basement, which was spacious and had...

“You get to choose which room you want if you go directly to the hotel's website - same price as booking.com but I noticed that booking.com doesn't give you as many choices for rooms. For instance, it only had rooms for 2 people available whereas the hotel's own website had a cheaper room for 1 person available.”
