While I expect a certain compromise on cleanliness when staying in a two-star hotel, (it did not disappoint) I wonder why this hotel's cost is more like a three, or four-star. Hotel Mercure, a four-star and 100m down the road had posted prices at only €35 more per night. Reception staff were kind and professional, crumbs and hair on the...

From a positive view the reception staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, and the hotel is near to the centre of town. The downside is the room smelt of smoke, was extremely basic , needed decorating and did not feel clean ,..the floors meant every noise could be heard and the whole feel was a very basic motel ... It was extremely...

I can only give a mixed review for this hotel. For the price it has a great location, the city centre and old town is easily within walking distance. The hotels exact location is a bit loud and dodgy but we were never out late at night. The walls are thin so noise in and out of the hotel travels...

Great little room in the center of everything. Newly renovated bathroom. Good breakfast and friendly service. Surprisingly inexpensive for such a nice room and very comfortable bed. I would stay another time for sure. If you are looking for a big spacious room, this may not be for you. The hotel is located a short distance from the train station....

Lousy service, otherwise ok budget hotel. Reception can't handle arrangements properly, would avoid to stay there again, even if it's placed really centered. Just can't get bad service anymore and don't want to handle situations like this in the future.

I was given a bright attic room with two skylights. Everything, including the crisp white sheets was clean and the bed comfortable. Location is A1 and staff very helpful. Breakfast was good. Shower size was a big drawback - 70cm with the entire bathroom not exceeding 1.2 x 1.2 m. A tight and uncomfortable fit. Importantly in this area, it...

Bye bye Toulouse. I had Been jn this hotel, for two weeks and I don't have anything negative to say. I really enjoy it. The room is very simple but is a comfortable room. The best thing I can go to any play by walk, is very close to the center of Toulouse. The breakfast is good and the personal...

I have a low bar for French hotels. I long ago learned that traditional French hotel rooms are typically very small, uncomfortable, fussy and outdated. The twin room I stayed in at the Hotel Castellane was all these things, and less. My main complaint is that the room was dirty, actually dirty. The previous guest had smoked in the room...

The location of Hotel Castellane was excellent and reasonably quite (well, ... normally), despite arriving in time for the World Cup, France-Switzerland 5-2 win game - we joined the crowd outside as the bar across the street was airing the game live ... crazy madness with a magical ambience. A short 10 minute stroll to the Capitole and other landmarks....

We stayed in a family room, which was small and very basic with a modular type bathroom but it was clean and fine for a night. The hotel is in a good location, especially for restaurants. It is s also close to many of the tourist sights and around the corner from the airport bus stop. We were also lucky...
