Absolutely lovely staff at reception! Clean room and very good breakfast buffet. Parking in front of the hotel and 10 minute walk into town. There is really nothing negative to say about this hotel but because of the great reviews somehow I expected it to be a little bit nicer and prettier.....if that makes sense.

We have been to Collioure on a couple of previous occasions. This time we stayed for two weeks because we wanted both to further explore the town, coast and mountains and to idle and dawdle when whenever we felt like it. We really enjoyed our time at the Medaloc. We knew it was three star and that consequently chandeliers would... More

We elected to stay at this hotel because the trip advisor ratings were reasonable and the price (71 Euro per night) could not be beat. The more expensive rooms were on the upper floors and the hotel does not have an elevator. But we could have had one of those rooms for 81 Euro per night. Our room, on the... More

Stayed for two nights at Hotel Madeloc, a very good boutique hotel. Reception was efficient, welcoming and gave detailed info about the hotel. Staff were courteous and friendly throughout the hotel. The hotel is well located a short walk from the centre. Car parking is good, but probably needs pre-booking. The swimming pool is more than adequate and situated above... More

This was a pleasant surprise from the normal soulless French 3 star hotels. I think it punches above it's star rating. The staff are charming and the location quiet but close enough to town to make it convenient. Parking was a bonus and we would stay here again. In a town of overpriced accommodation this was a stellar find.

For the price, I expected a lot more. We paid just shy of €1000 for a week in a self-catered apartment with no breakfast. For this I would have expected either a much bigger, higher spec apartment in a better location, or better services and facilities. As it was the apartment was very pokey - you couldn't move without bumping... More

We stayed in the apartments across the road from the hotel. It was a great choice for us with a lovely bedroom, with walk in wardrobe, living room and a loggia or terrace. The kitchen was well equipped and everything was spotless. The decor is very modern and there is interesting art all over the hotel. From the welcome at... More

Hotel Madeloc is situated in a hill in a short walking distance to the rocky shores of Collioure. Service was exceptionally friendly, breakfast is fine with local jams and sweet pies. Pool is quite small but convenient if you travel with children. We recommend a room with a terrace, it is perfect for sharing a bottle of wine and watching... More

This is a lovely hotel with a fantastic pool in a quiet spot. It is an uphill walk from the town, but not very far and nicely away from the hustle and bustle. The hotel is modern and to a good standard, with plenty of outdoor space around the pool.

We booked for 5 nights at the Hotel Madeloc several months before our September trip and accordingly I think were allocated a superior room with a large balcony/ terrace containing 2 sun beds and a table and chairs - lovely and shady in the morning; sunny and hot in the afternoon. The bedroom was not huge, but big enough, with... More
