Nice place to stay with a beautiful view of the city walls. My room was really small but the glass division between the bed and the bath tube helped to expand the space. My husband said the spa massage was okay. I loved the dog that says in the reception, really cute.

You couldn't ask for a better location, wonderful views of the outer walls whilst relaxing in the hotel grounds. Private secure parking. Clean and comfortable rooms. Efficient and friendly staff in a hotel with a lovely homely feel.

It was located in a brilliant position, just outside the walls of the old city. The breakfasts were great, with locally supplied, quality ingredients. We had originally planned to stay for one night on our drive back home from the far south of Spain, but loved the hotel and Carcassonne so much, we stayed a further night. My wife had...

We have stayed within the walls of Carcassonne but after staying at Hotel du Chateau we find that we prefer being just outside of the medieval walls, especially at night with everything illuminated. The view is breathtaking. This hotel is very charming and the staff is delightful. There are chaise lounges on the grounds where you can relax with a...

Max, who doubled as the bartender & receptionist, made our visit to the bar in this hotel, a really welcoming experience. Although my partner & I were staying in a different hotel, Max made us feel very welcome & I'd definitely recommend the bar in this hotel for a cool, chillout evening, in the beautiful surroundings of Carcassonne's stunning castle.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights during a driving holiday in the region at the beginning of September. The hotel has a lovely feel to it and is very well cared for with all areas being spotlessly clean. The gardens and swimming pool are also very well kept and there is the added bonus of a secured parking...

We had the most delightful stay in glorious surroundings. Having a delicious glass of wine with the view of Carcassonne & the citadel was heaven. And a superb breakfast of local produce taken in the grounds was similarly lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful, our room was great. We would definitely recommend this place and hope to return some...

Hotel du Chateau is immediately outside the main entrance to the medieval town of Carcassonne. It's so much better than being inside the main wall; the grounds were serene and quiet, but you could still open the windows and have a great view of the town. This was our first hotel in France on a long journey through the entire...

This is a beautiful hotel in the most fantastic position opposite the ramparts in Carcassonne. We were disappointed with our first room which was cramped and right on the street so were moved to an upgraded room next to the pool with our own little terrace. The rooms are beautifully appointed including top quality bathrooms. The pool area can be...

This is a small hotel overlooking the medieval city and, in terms of location, it really can't be beaten. It's only a short walk into the walled city and it's lovely in the evenings sitting on the terrace looking out on to the illuminated walls. It's nicely decorated with a mixture of traditional charm and modern elegance and the staff...
