Overall we had a thoroughly enjoyable 9 day stay and would definitely use this hotel again. The location is excellent for visiting the Medieval Citadel, less than 100 metres or 3 to 4 minutes walk. Those with walking difficulties should be aware that it is based on a steepish hill, but hills must be climbed to reach the citadel from...

Hotel booked through booking.com was as it said on the tin, excellent location on doorstep of medical cite and a quarter hour stroll to the commercial centre. Hotel was very clean with plenty of hot water in its small but comfortable rooms. WiFi was poor but that on a short break may be no bad thing. Staff at reception were...

We recently spent 5 nights at this hotel after reading the reviews on trip advisor and I cannot imagine a hotel in a better position to visit both the Cite and the Bastide. You can see the Narbonne Gate from the hotel which literally is a 2 minute walk away, or there is a pleasant walk of about 10 minutes...

Hotel L'Aragon was just what we needed - two minutes walk to the gates to the Cite' Medivale and it would only take 20 minutes to 1/2 hour to get to the Gare SNCF going across the bridge and directly through the new town centre. Hotel was clean and comfortable, staff friendly and most spoke English although we tried our...

We had a lovely babymoon in Carcassonne. The Citadel is gorgeous and the hotel is good value for money - literally 2 minutes walk from the entrance gate and 20 minutes from the city centre/station. Our room was small, but very clean and beautiful. You have to tell the reception staff that you want the air con on, as they...

Chose this hotel due to previous reviews and the fact that it was close to La Cite. Although this hotel says it is suitable for disabled guests please be aware that it sits on a steep hill which made it totally unsuitable for us and I would guess most elderly guests. The hotel was clean with lovely modern large bathrooms....

Hotel Aragon is excellent value if you want to be close to the Citadel, or Medieval city, as it is literally only a few minutes walk from the main gates. If you wish to see more of Carcassonne, and you should, the Bastide is only a 30 minute walk across the old bridge or a 1 Euro bus ride which...

I am just home from staying at this hotel for three nights with a friend. We got the bus from the airport which literally stopped 2 minutes away from the hotel so finding it couldn't have been any easier. We got to the hotel around 10.30am and were asked to leave our bags and return in 2 hours when the...

Excellent location only two minutes walk from cite gate and an easy stroll down to town, canal and train station. The hotel is functional. Room was a bit dated but clean and decent size. We went for the twin room which is bigger than the double. Breakfast was basic with not a lot of choice but plenty of it. €9 seemed...

We booked this hotel for 1 night on Booking .com. After driving for 600 miles we arrived at 6pm in 27 degrees heat. I checked in and was asked to pay before seeing the room, when given the key I went to the room which was really hot so I tried the to put on the air conditioning which was...
