This was our second visit with friends who wanted to experience the city from this lovely 'in character' hotel. By E-mail & phone i sorted us quiet, delux rooms in the main building Le Donjon and we were not dissappointed. Infact we were greeted with great enthusiasm about how wonderful our rooms were (19 -!st floor & 29-2nd ) and...

Hotel Donjon is a nice hotel in the middle of Carcassonne. Room Ok except very hot due to direct sun in afternoon and whole building seemed warm. Our room must have been 30C plus late afternoon. Staff refused to turn on aircon, manager puts cost saving above customer comfort. At night had to leave windows open which meant street noise...

I was only there for a night, but it was a very good choice to stay whithin the old city. THe hotel is nice, it offers free wifi (you need to request a password at reception). There is also free carpark. You can enquiry at reception and they will give you a map, Then once in the carpark you can...

This hotel places you in the center of the old city with easy access to everything. Breakfast is expensive so give this a miss and find one of the many eateries around Carcassonne. It is possible to walk from the station to the hotel if you are travelling light. A taxi is about 10 Euros.

Was fearful of staying in La Cite - but can honestly say - it's the only way to go. Being in Carcassonne in February makes all of the difference. No crowds - no glitz - absolutely makes the difference. Maybe in other seasons - a day trip is all that's needed to 'see' the historic site, but off season with...

Smiling about this - the room certainly had character ! There is a roof beam that you have to jump over to get between the beds and the bathroom :) First time I've ever seen this and certainly potentially a bit tricky after too much wine I would think. Room really comfy, bathroom spotless and new. Excellent location within the...

Stayed 3 nights B&B in a priviledge room, excellent, warm, well appointed room, smashing breakfast and friendly staff. Snowflkes were dancing each of our 3 days and we had the cite to ourselves, a bit different to summer. Would recommend to anyone after a comfy hotel in a wonderful setting.

We bumped into the Best Western insiede the old medioeval city by chance. We were staying in an OK place "downtown". I was sure the hotel was full for New Years Eve, convinced taht prices would have been outrageous and staff like that. What a lovely surprise when we found out that for just 10€ difference we could up-grade form...

We decided to visit Carcassonne on a whim while road tripping through northern Spain and southern France. This hotel is inside the beautiful walled city. I would say it's not worth visiting Carcassonne unless you stay within the walls. It's a great experience. The woman at reception was extremely friendly and welcoming and responded to my broken French in perfect...

We arrived by car to Carcassonne, when we went through the gate to park, the parking attendant called the hotel. We were picked up by a small van and delivered just outside the hotel. That was a huge perk, if you have not been there before and are dragging your luggage around, it would be difficult and stressful. As you...
