Our stay was for two nights. You can walk easily to the walled city. We have had friendlier service in lesser hotels. We enjoyed breakfast outside, but it was difficult as the service was wanting. Our room looked down onto the small pool which was delightfully enclosed by vegetation. Parking was difficult at the hotel; the overflow parking is down...

We booked into the hotel for an overnight stay en route to Aix en Provence. The hotel is not designed for customer convenience, our room was at the end of two very long corridors with 4 steps in the middle of one of the corridors no way a fully loaded trolley could go up these. Not a good start ....

As per previous reviews this hotel is ideally situated to visit the Citadel and the town of Carcassonne. It has secure parking. We had a privilidge room which was spacious, comfortable and overlooked the swimming pool and the ancient citadel. All the staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English but also were tolerant of our French. The breakfast...

Ideal location, 5 mins walk from the castle and 15 from the new town, with free parking. Helpful and friendly staff who gave great recommendations of where to go in the town. Room was clean with great view of the castle.

We reside in Indonesia and took the opportunity while visiting our family in South of France to go to Carcassonne. We booked three nights in the Mercure due to the hotel proximity of the cite and free on site parking. We booked a full price Privilege room with free breakfast, no choice at the reception to where we would have...

We were upgraded to privilege rooms as members of Accor fidelity cards. Excelente location, sympathetic staff, and a great breakfast, with many options of breads, sides, fruits, yogurts and juices. I do recommend!

Great location very close walking distance from old city. Quite small rooms but all included including big shower, super TV screen. Clean room, excellent bed (bravo!) Small windows overlooking parking if you take the standard room, but fine if late arrival. Free parking(s) Special mention to the breakfast which is very good, in a nice room and a lady with...

A comfortable hotel closely situated to the medieval fortress at Carcassonne. The rooms are comfortable and clean but relatively basic. We did not eat dinner in the hotel but the breakfast was good. The service was friendly and helpful.

If you're looking for the best hotel to visit the medieval city of Carcassonne from then this is it. Situated right beside the main entrance to "la cite", it's an easy walk in. Nice, clean and tidy rooms with all the modern comforts you'd expect. Another big bonus we found was the ample secure parking at the hotel. (And this...
