Only those in the know will experience the luxury of the Maison Souquet, hidden behind an understated facade signaled by two red lanterns. The bawdy, wanton legend of the City of Light was forged in the area around Montmartre, a legend of which the Maison Souquet now forms part. In a building that served as a pleasure house during the Belle Epoque, one of the most lavish and licentious pages in the history of Paris has been brought to life. Jacques Garcia has applied his talent to recreating the mystery, elegance, exoticism, sensuality, and ostentatious luxury of these establishments with their own architectural mores. Carried away from the city on the whimsy of the decor, the mind is free to pursue pleasure amid a fantasy setting conjured through artwork, sofas, causeuses, and divans. Perfectly at home, guests see their room open out onto a plush setting where life revolves around the ritual of tea-time, play, and rendezvous before and after dinner.

My wife and I spent 5 nights in Room 303, "La Païva". This was a suite – or more accurately a demi-suite, as the second room was more like an entryway. And it was gorgeous! A plush, hexagon-shaped love nest, with a large bathroom (plus additional water closet) and plenty of space for our lugagge and clothes. Best of all, since the window faced the interior courtyard, it was QUIET. And I am very sensitive to street noise, so I was grateful for how silent the room was.
The hotel itself is a beautiful little jewel box, with exceptional service, a cozy bar that we spent most of our evenings in, delicious (and huge) breakfasts, and a private pool/steam room that is truly unique – do not miss your free opportunity to book some time there.

I booked a Junior Suite for me and my wife for 5 days for our honeymoon and this was beyond our expectations. Staff was attentive, and rooms were clean and allowed for ultimate pleasure. Rooms are large for european hotels, turndown service happens everytime you leave the room. Downstairs bar and cocktails were delicious. (Try the Smoked Salmon). This ambiance sets the mood for a stay in montamarte and I will definetly book a room here again.10/10.

This hotel is on a side street about a 3 minute walk from the Moulin Rouge, and a true respite from the tourist crowds that gather there. The interior decor is reminiscent of an early 19th century house of pleasure, but in a new and fresh way. The history is undeniable and the feeling sublime as you enter the dark wooded, red velvet and green walled beauty of a boutique hotel, candles blazing at the front desk. The service here is impeccable and the rooms - for Paris - quite large. We stayed in room 301, w a separate seating area, dressing room, water closet and full bath with walk in shower and roomy tub. There is a mini bar and safe in the room and plenty of lush towels and aromatic bath supplies. Bonus for the on-site breakfast and happy hour at 5 that features a list of creative, inspired cocktails. I look forward to retuning here again and again when visiting my favorite city on the planet.

I live in Paris, and a friend took me to Maison Souquet for cocktails one night a few months ago. I knew that evening that I would be back for a little romantic and sexy staycation with my wife. This weekend we celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary. So, I surprised my wife with a night at Maison Souquet. It was truly a magical experience. I booked the Paris romance package. When we arrived, the friendly staff took our bag, gave us a tour of the little hotel, and shared with us all of its interesting history. We were then taken to our room. The bed had been made with rose petals laid on top of the duvet, and there was a bottle of champagne for us to enjoy. After an afternoon of being together in the room, we ventured down to the sexy cocktail bar and had a few cocktails. The next day, after a beautiful night's sleep, we took full advantage of our private hour in their beautiful salon d'eau. It was just a perfect get away. I highly recommend it for lovers!

Perfect romantic weekend with my wife as a gift for her birthday. We had been to Maison Souquet once before and decided to come back a few years later as we like the special atmosphere all throughout the hotel. This time, we are able to book the Spa twice and had a wonderful relaxing time for ourselves. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Montmartre, great restaurants and sightseeing for a short weekend. Extremely friendly and helpful staff that helped us to make restaurant reservations and arranged taxi and a private tour guide. I hope we will be able to come back soon...

A beautifully decorated hotel with an interesting history. This hotel is well located within Montmartre only steps away from cafe’s, restaurants, the Metro and Moulin Rouge. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms, although a little small and quite dark, are beautifully furnished and keep in excellent condition. We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel daily, which was delicious and always served with a smile. A great perk of the hotel is the daily access to the Salon d’eau, a perfect place to unwind after a day of touring Paris. The only aspects that could use some attention, the double glazed windows cut out most noise, however; a small amount of noise still makes it in, so if you are a light sleeper this can be a problem. Also, the wifi is painfully slow and English options on the TV are limited to 2 news stations. These small issues are only that, small, and would not stop us from returning.

Special hotel, nicely decorated and superb for a romantic break. Bar is nice, but cocktails not up to standard, breakfast rather not something to enjoy here. SPA not worth it. One would expect a slightly higher level of food and drinks, also the rooms might profit from a bluetooth player etc.

What a perfect place. Small number of rooms but personal service and a real French experience. We took 2 rooms which allowed us 2 hours exclusive use of the spa pool each day - amazing. Bar was atmospheric with attentive yet subtle staff. Location is great and we took the proactive decision to walk there from Gare du Nord to soak up the atmosphere (but take a taxi if 2km is too far!)

Maison Souquet looks beautiful online, and hotels rarely look as good in person, but Maison Souquet looks even better! We were met outside by Salvatore, who told us to leave all our bags with him and enter the hotel, where we were met with welcome drinks and a hotel tour. The entire staff was great, but we truly felt like Salvatore became our personal concierge (and friend) and the maker of the best cappuccino in Paris! (Paris is beautiful, but we were longing for a great cappuccino & we finally found it with Salvatore!!) Our room was just as romantic as every other room in the hotel. Maison Souquet is an oasis that’s around the corner from the Moulin Rouge and walkable to Sacrè-Coeur. Highly recommend Maison Souquet for a romantic getaway - gorgeous space, intimate bar, luxurious sitting areas - just remember to as for Salvatore!

2 nights in an exceptional setting A unique setting, a personalized and very attentive reception, A timeless and magical bar A room without any noise (rather rare close to Pigalle and 300 m from the Moulin Rouge) A small downside because we really didn't have any luck between the HS hammam and the first breakfast served in almost 1h30 and the impression of lacking products in the rooms because over the 2 nights a very small shampoo seemed a bit tight for 2 persons A lot of effort from the team without a doubt Our break was wonderful We thank you for your smiles and your kindness. Salvatore and the whole team did their best and even more THANKS ! We will probably come back

Hi,
The bathroom is average size but only one sink.
This shower was good size and very modern.
I would think only one person in the bathroom works however.....which I prefer. Based upon my limited experience in Europe this room/ bathroom is pretty typical in size.
Good luck and have fun!
