We had the duplex on ground level. The apartment is located in a little laneway right next to Moulin Rouge and with great restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops right around the corner (the owner provides a nice folder with tips). The apartment opens into a quiet, shared courtyard. It has ample space for 5 or 6 people. The kitchen/dining/living area...

I booked the mini in Montmatre a month before I needed it. A fortnight before I was due to travel I had a serious and challenging family crisis and decided to stay in London. I wrote to the owner- Francois- explaining that I wouldn't be able to take the booking- I'd paid my depost of 122 Euros (not 120 as...

Read a good review about LOFT Paris in the Lonely Planet guidebook and so I decided to book this place. Right from the beginning ie. from booking onwards, my experience with this place was above par. The booking was smooth, the terms & conditions clear, the replies to inquiries prompt, etc. They even sent me an urgent booking confirmation, on...

We stayed here on a weekend break in Paris and we have to say it was the perfect base. We stayed in one of the smaller apartments (le mini I think) which was more than large enough for a weekend away. The apartment was very clean and had all the amenities you could possibly require. It is fantastically located a...

As soon as we arrived, we knew this was the place to be. Whilst the Immediate vicinity was slightly on the seedy side with sex shops on the main street, its never dull, full of excitement, glamour and colour. In fact this area is famous for the moulin rouge which is next door, and in truth is more of a...

This charming studio was a little electic, very comfortable, very clean and a great location for us. We felt very safe there. Billy was most helpful and had a lot of patience with us. We would certainly stay there again. I highly recommend this place.

My girlfriend and I stayed in the smallest place available (the Studio I believe) for three nights in mid-June. It was very comfortable, easy to travel to/from, and reasonably priced. Lots of good eating and wine, cheese, and butcher shops nearby. Next time I'm in Paris I will definitely stay here again and I HIGHLY recommend it. Just can't say...

Very cozzi, well located and well kept room. We stayed 2 couples, one slept very comfortable at the main bed and the other two had to sleep on separate sofa and an individual wall bed type. Right at the heart of a very active paris neighborhood. A lot of great restaurants around and a main train station 1 minute away.

Our second visit to the duplex apartment. If you like quirky you will love this. There is plenty of space and privacy for a party of 4, much more room than you would get in hotel rooms in Paris for the same price. There is an open plan living area with two very comfortable sofas and a couple of armchairs,...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.

“Only saw our ground floor apartment which was quiet but backs onto a small courtyard which could be noisy in the summer. However, you do not come to this area of Paris and expect it to be quiet. I imagine, the other apartments had better views.”
