We stayed in Paris on our way to the Camino in Spain. Only there 2 nights and this hotel was recommended via a friend who had stayed before. I could not fault the service in any way. The hotel was very clean and the rooms very comfortable. There is a lovely little courtyard to sit in as well. The location...

We stayed at this hotel at the beginning of September for four days. We had two rooms, a large first floor room described to me as superior and another on the fourth floor. The first room was about the size of a normal Premier Inn double. The double bed and pillows were comfortable enough. The decor was rather dark, not...

Dear Mister Houpt, We were expecting your feedback. Thank you for letting us knows your point of view on your stay. We are sorry that your stay didn’t reach your expectations. First we took good notes of your remarks about the lighting, the seating in the bedroom and the watering in the bathroom. We will take it into account to...

We only had one night at Hotel de Sevres. They were very helpful leading up to our stay, providing information on available tours and holding a parcel for me until I arrived. Great location in a quiet spot not far from Bon Marche and Mame Gateaux. Would stay there again!

Hotel Staff was great, very friendly and helpful. Rooms were small but clean and hotel is very central to all the sights we wanted to see. A 30 minute walk to everything in all directions. Very quaint wine bars and restaurants nearby. We were able to have a true Paris experience without having too much trouble communicating with the locals....

Besides the spotty wifi, no complaints from the Hotel de Sevres. Very convenient Left Bank location close to Cafe de Flores, Pantheon, etc. Unfortunately, the Jardins de Luxembourg and Musee Rodin were closed due to the strikes. The bulk of the protesting that day was close by at Invalides and many streets and even the terrace at the Salon du...

When in Paris we like to stay south of the river in the 6th or 7th arrondisement and always pick the Hotel de Sevres, a comfortable and well run 3 star hotel in a relatively quiet street.. The rooms are clean and the king size beds are comfortable with memory foam pillows. The staff are very helpful and all speak...

Hotel is small, but wonderful! ,Is very well presented and tastefully decorated. Room was lovely, with lovely memory foam mattress and pillows, bliss! Has a small court yard where you can enjoy free tea and coffee, and cakes! between mid day and 11.30pm in the evening. Nice touch. The hotel staff are great and always on hand to offer advice...

Situated in a more affluent area of Paris, so we found out later, this is a very well kept hotel which we were using as just a place to sleep over. As a result we did not use the Spa facilities on offer. The rooms were clean and tidy with complimentary bathroom items. Showers were always hot. The bed we...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
