Visited Easter weekend. Good central location 10-15 minute walk from Notre Dame, 5 minutes away from a lovely local produce market. Our room was on the 5th floor served by the world's smallest lift! Room was quite small but we thought it nice, more than adequate for a weekend break. Separate bathroom heating and TV in the room. Breakfast area...

Yes this is a budget hotel, but you get what you pay for, a cheap stay in a great part of Pairs. Yes the rooms are small and look like they need renovating, but they are clean. And yes none of the rooms have bathrooms, but there are toilets and showers on 2 of the floors. While staying in this...

Although the location is great, between Le Marais and Republique, the hotel is like one of those road motels. Cheap carpet, smelly room, bathroom looks like it has not been finished. Staff is ok. More than once I had to wait over 5min in the evening for someone to open the front door. Fabio is too nice sometimes, not getting...

Great location near metro in Place de la Republique, staff is nice and kindly, Fabio gave me some advices and recommendation about trip and what to see in Paris. Fabio can organize shuttle from hotel to CDG airport for cheap price.

The hotel is a bit old and worn out, but for what you pay and with the location in consideration, price / quality is good. Also, the reception guy Fabio is great. Really helpful and friendly and speaks its languages. The best!! 💗

The location of the Hotel Picard is pretty decent: across the street from Le Carreau du Temple and within very easy walking distance of many restaurants, four metro lines, several bus routes, the Place de la République, Le Centre Pompidou and the Bataclan – so, definitely no complaints there. Our room was a bit dated - but, large and clean...

Hotel Picard asked for key deposit in cash, but it does not issue receipt, promising that the key is proof of payment! But when I tried to take back the deposit, it denied that the cash deposit existed!

Cheap hotel in a decent area had all mod cons you need and staff were very friendly. Air con didn't work but windows opened so that was good. Recommended for a very short cheap stay. Republique metro station within 5 mins walk. Loads of cafes etc close at hand. Small supermarket close too.

If your someone who is expecting to find a wee box of chocolates resting on the pillow of your four poster bed well this place isn't for you. Essentially what your getting is a place to lay your head for a few hours, it's not fancy or modern but it is clean and found the staff helpful and friendly +...

I came back to this hotel because the location is great but I don't think it's acceptable these days to not have WIFI in every room. They use the excuse that it's just the top floors - there wasn't a TV either... Depressing decor. They get 2 stars just for the location.

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
